You know, you dream about a moment like this watching a live awards show, and when it happens, you don’t know what to say.
One of those moments happened tonight during The 41st Daytime Emmy Awards.
But let’s go back a bit, to the Red Carpet pre-show, which was such a clusterf*ck of bad cues, missed lines, and giggling presenters, I was convinced everyone involved must have thought it a dress rehearsal. In the closing moments, someone shouted out “Sorry if my nipples fell out.” I was hoping it was Chandler Massey, but he was a no-show before the program (and if the red carpet seemed rushed, it was probably because they had to get it back to Crazy Ray’s Rug Rentals before 10 Pm)
That’s how … low budget … this show was. Another clue? When the show started and Kathy Griffin began her monologue, the livestream »

Lupita Nyong’o may have won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, but it was her brother, Peter Nyong’o, Jr., who was the life of the party.
Peter attended the Oscars as his big sister’s date and has been a regular at award shows along with his stunning sister. He is currently a freshman at Stetson University, College of Arts and Sciences, where, according to Instagram, he completed his first semester with a 4.0 Gpa. Other information gathered from his Instagram page: Peter is a Drake fan and even saw him in concert, he plays soccer and is a soccer fan – he likes Arsenal – and likes to play video games.
Peter earned a shoutout from his sister during her beautiful acceptance speech Sunday night.
“My brother, Junior, sitting by my side. Thank you so much, you are my best friend,” an emotional Nyong’o said.

This week's Saturday Night Live host, Jim Parsons, totally nailed an impression of Johnny Weir. By "totally nailed" I mean, it was kind of like if Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory did an impression of Johnny Weir, but hey, that's still pretty entertaining. Even the real Johnny Weir tweeted, "I need Jim Parsons necklace from his Johnny Weir parody on @nbcsnl!" This clip is kind of a two-for-one, since it's set at The Ellen Show, so you get Kate McKinnon's ridiculously good impression of Ellen DeGeneres, plus some Oscar jokes! »

It seems like an eternity since the last episode of “Saturday Night Live” aired, but it’s back tonight, with the most beloved member of one of television’s biggest shows as host. Jim Parsons is a semi-unlikely television star, but there are few who don’t know who Sheldon Cooper is at this point, and a large chunk of that goes to Parson’s portrayal of that character. In lesser hands, Sheldon would not be one of the true genuine breakout characters in recent TV history. Tonight, Parsons gets to potentially stretch his wings, in addition to almost undoubtedly delivering “The Big Bang Theory”-related humor as well. Along for the ride is musical act Beck for this, the first show in the post-Seth Meyers Era. Usually, I liveblog the proceedings, but due to personal reasons, I’m opting for the less taxing task of recapping it after the fact. »

Doctor Who alum Karen Gillan has joined the ABC pilot Selfie. From Suburgatory creator Emily Kapnek, the series follows a woman obsessed with her fame on social media who gets the wrong kind of notoriety after a bad breakup turns into a viral video. From there, she has to rebuild her life and her reputation.
In disappointing news, Neve Campbell has quit the TNT pilot Guilt by Association. Deadline says Campbell had last-minute nerves about committing to a series. I was looking forward to seeing Neve Campbell return to TV.

Eva Mendes Shuts Down Pregnancy Rumors
“It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know, those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy," Mendes told Ellen DeGeneres.
"They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out,” the actress and girlfriend of Ryan Gosling added. “I always ask for a personal pat-down. I don't mean in person, I meant in private because they can take you. Ladies, I want you to know that they can take you in private, they can take you into an area."
DeGeneres did her best to trip up the The Place Behind the Pines actress. "Good idea. Good idea. That's »

Courteney Cox and David Arquette might not be together anymore, but that doesn't mean they aren't still friends. The "Cougar Town" actress tells Ellen Degeneres on "The Ellen Show" that she, Arquette, their daughter Coco, and Arquette's pregnant girlfriend Christina McLarty all had dinner together recently.
Coco is excited to become a big sister to Arquette and McLarty's baby boy, Cox tells Degeneres. "At first she was nervous because, you know, it's a big deal. At first, I was nervous, I was like woo, heavy," she says. "Now it's great and we actually all had dinner the other night. The whole family. It's a very unique relationship. All of us -- like, literally, me and Christina and David and Coco. It's great though."
