Not that good
inchalada1 September 2003
This DVD is nothing more than a profile of Lesnars' first year and a half in the WWE. There is nothing of note surrounding his childhood or his amateur wrestling days. There is way too much focus on his WWE career and not enough insight into the man.

The DVD extras on the other hand are well worth the money featuring his tussles against Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Undertaker, Kurt Angle and Two Big Show matches.

Buy this in DVD because the matches are the only good thing going for it. The documentary portion is the pits.

The Pain in a Nutshell Warning: Spoilers
This is for all of those Brock Lesnar fans who didn't get enough of the man during his impressive two-year stint in the WWE. Everything about this single disc DVD inspires nostalgia for what was possibly the greatest big man to ever step foot in a WWE ring.

It's starts off with a documentary approach that you should be familiar with if you've ever watched a Supersatr-specific DVD release from Vince's company. It highlights his time as an amateur wrestler, complete with interviews of the man himself and folks from his hometown of Webster, Sout Dakota, and goes on to cover a little over the first year he spent in WWE. There are interviews with fellow WWE Superstars Booker T, Kurt Angle, Bubba Ray Dudley, Paul Heyman, The Hurricane, Tommy Dreamer and others, all who describe their in-ring and locker room experience with the man of the hour. It highlights his meteoric rise to Undisputed Champion by defeating The Rock at Summerslam 2002 after conquering three other men at King of the Ring 2003, as well as covering other title defenses against Undertaker, Big Show and Kurt Angle.

The biography part of the DVD is incredibly extensive, especially considering that he only had a two-year career with WWE, and about only half of that is covered, but the true meat of the DVD is the bonus features which includes six matches.

Matches included are his decisive victory over "Hulkamania" Hulk Hogan at a taping of Smackdown!, his first title match against The Rock at the above mentioned Summerslam, his very bloody encounter with "Big Evil" The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell at No Mercy 2002, his Wrestlemania debut against your Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, and two brutal bouts against Big Show, one in a Stretcher Match at Judgment Day 2003 and another at a taping of Smackdown!

Since I was HUGE Lesnar fan, there's not really much I have to complain about when it comes to what he's done in the ring, and in fact, my only gripes are trivial and subjective only to myself probably, and those are his matches against The Rock and Undertaker. While both matches are e-x-c-e-l-l-e-n-t, I already have access to those matches on other WWE DVD sets. That being said, if you have not already seen those matches or if you would like to be able to watch them in an exclusive Brock Lesnar environment, this DVD is for you.

Ratings: Presentation 10 Extras 10 Entertainment Value 10

It is clear upon viewing this DVD that Brock Lesnar had everything there is to offer in the ring: ability, charisma and a great look, and if he would've stayed with the company, he would be a man just as feared and respected now as he was then.

Warning: Spoilers
Well i first brought this on DVD off the net, and watched it as soon as it came. Brock Lesnar was my favourite WWE Superstar before he left.

I personally think that this is a very informative DVD, and interesting to watch back to his debut. It includes various matches - vs Big Show, Kurt Angle, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, and the Rock. Also, superstars comment on Brock, from either wrestling him or just watching his matches. I liked the way Brock trains for his matches, like using gas tanks and logs. I was a bit disappointed when it finished, but this is because he was in the WWE for a year and a half, and the last match thats on it i think is his stretcher match with the big show.

Some other matches include:

Vs Rock at Summerslam Vs Undertaker Hell in a Cell Vs Big Show when the ring collapses Vs Hulk Hogan injuring the hulkster Vs Kurt Angle at WM19

If your a Brock Lesnar fan, never turn down the chance to watch this! 10 out of 10!
