Award winning producer Rishi Rich to score new British film ‘Amar Akbar and Tony’

Award-winning producer and music mogul Rishi Rich is teaming up with brand new British independent film, Amar, Akbar & Tony to create the movie’s score.

Rishi is a highly respected name in the music scene and has made waves in the industry in the UK, Us and India. Rishi has worked with a breadth of artists across the globe, including Mary J Blige and Britney Spears. However, he is perhaps best known for pioneering the Asian R‘n’B fusion genre in the UK, creating The Rishi Rich Project with Jay Sean and Juggy D.

This is not Rishi’s first time working on films as he has previously produced songs for Bollywood blockbusters. He has worked with leading names in Indian cinema, such as Yash Chopra on Hum Tum and Sangeeth Sivan on Kya Kool Hain Hum.

Abhay Deol who was last seen in the Prakash Jha film Chakravyuh will soon be making his debut on the small screen. In fact Abhay will be seen hosting Zee TV's new reality show 'Connected Hum Tum'. Commenting on the venture at a press conference, Abhay said, "I didn't have a plan to come on TV, so there is no point of coming late to TV. It's just that I liked the show, so I gave the nod to it. Kunal Kohli’s Beautiful PC Jewellers Ad!

Director Kunal Kohli of the fabulous Hum Tum and Fanaa is known for his beautiful looking films and he has now focused his unique eye and camera on something new – ads and jewellry. The director has created an ad for PC Jewellers, one of the leading jewellery companies in India. The commercial showcases the new brand campaign for the company as being the “Jeweller for Generations”. This new campaign wants to convey a simple idea that a piece of PC Jewellery can be worn by a daughter and her mother.

Brought together by the fabulous Bottomline Media and Tanaaz Bhatia, this is the first time the director has worked on a 43 second film. He told BollySpice exclusively what drew him to taking on this challenge, “It was an unusual script that covered generations and dealt with a range of products. Plus I’d never done a jewelry commercial before.”

Sachin and Jigar are emerging as one of the best music directors in recent years, especially considering their rapid ascension from 2 years ago. Their versatility ranges from Faltu, Shor in the City, Hum Tum Aur Shabana, to Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. Yet, the stakes are much higher with their latest soundtrack for Remo D’Souza’s Abcd – AnyBody Can Dance, which is India’s first 3D dance film. Sachin and Jigar have produced one of the most unique and innovative albums of 2013 with this film.
