Set in the gang infested area of East Los Angeles, this is a deeply moving film about good vs evil- and ultimately- redemption. The tone and style is very reminiscent of Copploa's THE GODFATHER. It's beautifully written and directed and the camera-work/cinematography is gorgeous. The ensemble acting is strong; the little boy- who's the lead-as well as Broadway actor, Daniel Faraldo, who plays the Priest, give powerful performances. The use of classical music pieces from Mozart and Beethoven is quite effective underlining and reinforcing the haunting, often violent, story line. The last 4 minutes of the film is some of the best filmmaking I've seen in a short film in a long time. I highly recommend.
