It's all about love...

Take some of Lynch, add a touch of humor, and in the same pot to complete the magisterial recipe put in a some cronenbergian eyes that are constantly spying on us. The sum of all these elements, plus some Philipdickian and Orwellian ruminations give us as a result 'Corner of your eye. Sam, Sarah and Paul are the three main (and almost only) characters of this peculiar story, where dream's realm is intermingled with reality, to the point that at times it becomes difficult to distinguish what territory the director , Jesse Spencer, is moving in. However, all paths inter cross, at times separate and finally converge perfectly making sense, having entrapped the spectator during its 96 minutes of duration. It all starts when Sam and Paul are talking at a bar and notice a strange eye (which frequently changes its color) that's observing them from a corner on the roof. This is the beginning of the madness that will torment them day and night, not allowing them to sleep sometimes, and will romp in their dreams and nightmares that will frequently be confused with reality. Just when nothing seems to make sense and everything omits coherence, Paul reflects: 'Either I dreamt it, or I remember being here while in another dream, or maybe I'm only dreaming now that I remember it being here', to what Sam later responds 'ok, thinking is not helping…'. That is exactly maybe what Spenser proposes to us: 'Corner of your Eye' is an invitation not to think, but dream with our eyes open (while very focused on the film) and enjoy surrealism at it's best, in this strange story that, coherently or incoherently, leaves it clear that, after all, it's all about love.
