According to Heroic Hollywood, Rachel McAdams (Mean Girls, Red Eye, True Detective) has been offered the female lead role in Marvel's Doctor Strange alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sorcerer Supreme. The site makes no mention of which character she'd play, but if it's Strange's love interest then one would assume it's Clea, or possibly Morganna Blessing. Of course even if McAdams has been offered the role, there no guarantee she'll accept - but if she does sign on she'll also join Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, and Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One. Scott Derrickson is directing the film from a script by Jon Sphaits, and shooting is set to commence in London this Fall. Doctor Strange will hit theaters November 4, 2016. »
When news of Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch's budding romance hit the Internet yesterday, fans (including us) got really, really excited about the lovable stars' new relationship. Why all the buzz? Well, for one thing, the pair is currently starring together in season two of True Detective, and for another: it's Tim Riggins and Regina George! Although Taylor and Rachel aren't actually their characters from Friday Night Lights and Mean Girls, just for fun, we're looking at why Riggins and Regina might actually get along. Keep reading to see all the Gif-worthy reasons, then check out Taylor's hottest moments and all the times you've felt really, really jealous of Rachel. »
Indeed, if these are McAdams’ most famous films, they emphasise her knack for versatility: in Mean Girls, she plays an unabashed villain, whilst The Notebook places her at the other end of the spectrum entirely as the leading role in a Nicholas Sparks’ romantic comedy.
Which is another way of saying that Rachel McAdams, still only 36-years-old, is an actress capable of much. She’s somebody who is not afraid to try new things, nor will she refuse a simple or mainstream part if she believes it to be good for her stock. McAdams can do serious and she can do comedy; she shines in a leading role, but she almost always makes a mark in secondary parts, too. She is also cool, »

We really hope this one is true! "True Detective" costars Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch are reportedly dating, according Us Weekly. The site says that Rachel and Taylor recently grabbed dinner together at Osteria Mozza in West Hollywood earlier this month -- and, while their romance is relatively new, it's moving pretty fast. "It hasn’t been long," an insider tells Us. "But it’s serious." The Canadian actors -- who recently finished filming the HBO hit drama together -- have been close friends for years, but apparently their relationship changed after working together on the crime thriller. "They grew closer on set," a second source close to the "Mean Girls" star adds. This isn't the fist time the 36-year-old has struck up a romantic relationship with a costar. After filming "The Notebook" with Ryan Gosling in 2004, the pair started dating but eventually split (and crushed the dreams of Noah »

How could you not love Janis Ian? Lizzy Caplan's "Mean Girls" character may not have worn pink on Wednesdays, but she did utter some of the most quotable lines ever. Regina George life-sabotage aside, she is a kick-ass pal (do your friends make prize-winning paintings for you?) and a fun purple tuxedo-wearing chick any highschooler would be lucky to know. Kevin Gnapoor would agree -- Janis Ian was one the best parts of "Mean Girls." Here are 11 moments that prove it.

It's one of the great mysteries of our history, right up there with what happened to Amelia Earhart and what the hell is that on Donald Trump's head? Ever since queen Regina George told Gretchen Weiners to "stop trying to make 'fetch' happen" because "it's not going to happen" in Mean Girls, we've wondered exactly why that catchphrase never happened. People don't use it unless to quote the movie, so we guess Regina George was right. But…why?! Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennet (he played dream boat Aaron Samuels) did an interview with Huffington Post to talk about his new Food Network show Cake Wars. Not only did he talk about a reunion possibility (or lack thereof) but »
The summer animation season is in full swing. Early trailers for Inside Out had gotten me curious, but, I’ll admit, the draw was mostly in the strength of Pixar as a name. The concept seemed cute enough but I wanted to see how they were going to get a story out of the idea. The studio has created characters that reasonate with human audiences out of some of the most unlikely subjects, from a cute little desk lamp to fish. Why not personify emotions and make them the next thing to capture our hearts.
As with previous features, an animated short kicks off the big screen spectacle. This year, it’s about a lonely volcano singing his hopes to the sky. The entire thing is set to a gentle ukulele song performed by Kuana Torres Kahele and Napua Greig. I don’t think I’ve ever felt emotionally connected to an island before, »

Another Period, Season 1, Episode 1, “Pilot”
Directed by Jeremy Konner
Airs Tuesdays at 10:30pm (Et) on Comedy Central
Another Period is more satire than parody, as it tackles our society’s perverse fascination with the lifestyles of the rich and famous by framing its turn of the century-era setting through the gauze of modern reality television. The twisted brainchild of Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome, the pair also star as Lillian and Beatrice Bellacourt, two parvenus who hope to raise their family’s social standing. In the pilot, the pair aspire to become members of the Newport 400 (“the 400 most important white people in all America”) after their best friends and rivals, the Claudette Sisters, die of TB. Their plan, however, is foiled when their older sister invites Helen Keller (Shoshannah Stern) over, exposing their social climbing ambitions.

Amanda Seyfried debuted a fierce new look at the "Ted 2" Premiere on Wednesday in New York City. The 29-year-old actress sported a black mini Lbd with a twist, as the asymmetrical dress was held together by string pulled over one shoulder. But it wasn’t the dress that stole the show, it was her bold new 'do! The "Mean Girls" alum sectioned her golden blonde tresses into cornrows across the crown of her head, leaving the rest of her long locks swept back. She kept her makeup minimal, making her eyes pop with smokey eye liner. This isn't the first time Amanda has rocked braids at a big premiere. She paired her flirty red Valentino dress with a double French braid wound into a bun at the "While We’re Young" screening back in March. "When I saw Amanda’s dress, I knew I wanted the hair to feel youthful, »

Was that a Freudian slip, Willie Geist? The Today Show co-host made everyone burst into laughter earlier this morning when he had a slip of the tongue while introducing Amanda Seyfried. Geist opened the segment by stating, "We all know Amanda Seyfried from her roles as the nice, if a bit titsy..." Waaaaait a second, did he just call her "titsy"?! Yes, yes he did. Geist quickly caught his mishap and corrected himself, "ditzy, excuse me, teen in Mean Girls." No one let it go, though, and although some might be offended by his choice of words, Seyfried seemed to get a good laugh out of it. "That's incredible," she laughed. "Amanda, please forgive me," Geist »
Lindsay Lohan wants to stay in the U.K. The Mean Girls actress moved to London last year to act in David Mamet's play Speed-the-Plow. She got a taste of London and now she wants to call it home. She told Hello! Magazine (via Daily Mail), "I can definitely see myself settling in London permanently...I'm in a really good place. I'm blessed to have been able to do a play in London and start a different way of life." Given the Disney star's many run-ins with the law here stateside, a change of pace might do her some good. The soon-to-be expat opened up about how she's enjoying a change of scenery, "New York is very fast paced and it's not like that »
There are no cartoon Mean Girls here; instead, we get striking portraits of girls in pain, desperately grasping for coping mechanisms. I’m “biast” (pro): nothing
I’m “biast” (con): nothing

Don’t call what happens in this subtle drama of noxious female adolescence a witch hunt. It’s not that, except perhaps in the very loosest, most metaphoric sense; though grownups here worry about satanism and cult-like behavior among the kids, this is not a horror movie. The Sisterhood of Night is, rather, a bitch hunt of the sort that only teenaged girls can get up to.
But who is the “bitch” here? Is it Emily Parris (Kara Hayward: Moonrise Kingdom), who shames her fellow high-schooler Mary Warren (Georgie Henley: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader) by »

Remember last decade, how you used to quote Mean Girls word for word while talking to your best friend on your Nokia cell phone? You wore low-rise jeans with tiny t-shirts and Rocket Dog sandals and spent your afternoons requesting music videos on Trl and learning the dance moves to "I'm a Slave 4 U." We'll be honest; we still quote Mean Girls and try to copy Britney Spears routines, but we look back on those days with equal parts dreamy nostalgia and sheer horror. We're taking a trip down memory lane with all the best (and worst) things about coming of age in the aughts. So here we go: you know you were a teenager in the 2000s if . . . Source: Getty »

In other words, she's talented, wise, and, yes, beautiful to boot. From movie scenes to real-life loves, take a look at moments that made you feel really, really, understandably jealous of Rachel McAdams. »
Forget something, Lindsay Lohan? The 28-year-old Mean Girls star gave passersby in Monte Carlo, Monaco, quite an eyeful Thursday as she strolled through the street braless, wearing a periwinkle, loose-fitting halter top that showed off some side boob, paired with black skinny jeans and white and navy-striped, platform open-toe heels and blue aviator sunglasses. She was accompanied by a female friend and was seen walking with a cigarette in her hand. The two were spotted shopping at a Louis Vuitton store and sitting at a cafe and enjoying drinks and ice cream. Earlier this week, Lohan stripped down to a bikini and strappy one-piece swimsuit for some cryotherapy in Monte Carlo. The spa »

Through the creation of Battleworld by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic in the main Secret Wars series, Marvel has given its talent almost free reign to tell stories in a variety of genres from the war film that is Captain Marvel and the Carol Corps to the spaghetti western Old Man Logan and even some sword and sorcery in Weirdworld. Well, Runaways #1 is a teen movie with subtle splashes from recent Ya sci-fi hits, like Hunger Games and Divergent. It features a wide-ranging cast of Marvel teen characters from queen bee Jubilee; sassy, nerdy Amadeus Cho and his bodyguard Skaar, openly bisexual and flirtatious Pixie, and an interesting riff on Cloak and Dagger. Writer Noelle Stevenson makes Tandy Cloak complete with teleportation powers and Tyrone Dagger along with energy projection powers. They are also siblings. »

Emma Stone covers the July/August issue of WSJ Magazine, and along with opening up in her candid interview with the magazine, she also faced some tough choices in a fun decision game. Asked to pick between pairs of options like Batman or Superman, paparazzi or colonoscopy, and Jimmy Fallon or Jimi Hendrix, she was stumped when it came to one particularly difficult choice: Bradley Cooper or Ryan Gosling? Emma laughed while answering all the questions, calling out the "trick question" of Mean Girls vs. Clueless. Watch the cute clip above, then check out the full Emma Stone feature and see recent pictures of Emma and Rachel McAdams stealing the spotlight on the red carpet. »
Lindsay Lohan will feature on Duran Duran's new album. The 'Mean Girls' actress, who released her debut record 'Speak' in 2004, has recorded with the band for their 14th LP, 'Paper Gods', alongside other artists including Kiesza, Janelle Monae and Mr Hudson. Rumours the 28-year-old star would feature on the album emerged in December when she posted a photo of herself with the band online, and it's now been announced their collaboration will feature on the record, which will be released worldwide on September 11 2015. The band - featuring Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes and John and Roger Taylor - last released 'All You Need Is Now' in 2010, and the group said they set out to beat it with this LP by letting themselves be influenced by their favourite records. Describing 'Paper Gods', keyboardist Nick said: ''We found a whole new level of inspiration on this album.'' Lead »
