You Won't Believe How Different This Mathlete From Mean Girls Looks Now

14 hours ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Let it be known that Caroline Krafft, the Mathlete of all Mathletes is probably one of the most underrated Mean Girls characters around. She's right up with Glen Coco, Kevin G. and the "I just have a lot of feelings" girl. Let it also be known that Caroline Krafft need not change for anyone, either. 99-cent lip gloss is nothing to be ashamed of. Also, let's toast to snaggleteeth while we're at it. Did we mention she was leading the way for body positivity in the early '00s with her unplucked eyebrows? Damn right. As dope as she is, Caroline Krafft, sadly, was just a character, who actually looks nothing like the actor who played her. We're certain, however, Clare Preuss, the 38-year-old who got »

Coming Distractions: Billy Bob Thornton’s still pretty effing dirty in the new Bad Santa 2 trailer

21 September 2016 6:29 PM, PDT | avclub.com | See recent The AV Club news »

Here’s some reassurance for anyone worried that 13 years and a new director might have taken some of the venom out of the Bad Santa movies: a new trailer for the upcoming Bad Santa 2 that thoroughly earns its red band status. Featuring stars Billy Bob Thornton, Tony Cox, and Brett Kelly—all returning from the first movie—and adding in Kathy Bates and Christina Hendricks, the promo is just as foul-mouthed, if not moreso, than Tony Zwigoff’s 2003 original.

Featuring, in no particular order, Thornton’s character punching his mom in the face, a felching reference, and some incredibly graphic references to female anatomy, the trailer sees director Mark Waters traveling far afield from the worlds of Mean Girls or Freaky Friday. You can see the yuletide depravity for yourself up above, or just wait until November 23, when Bad Santa 2 will cheerfully invite the entire ...

Billy Bob Thornton Saddles Up In Raunchy Red Band Trailer For Bad Santa 2

21 September 2016 10:16 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Thirteen years on from Terry Zwigoff’s raunchy cult hit, Billy Bob Thornton is ready to suit up as Father Christmas once again only this time, Thornton’s chain-smoking and wholly vile narcissist Willie Soke is preparing for his wildest festive season yet.

Welcome to Bad Santa 2Mark Waters’ (Mean Girls) long-anticipated comedy sequel that promises to take the notion of seasonal antics and blow them wildly out of proportion and, subsequently, directly into R-rated territory. Case in point: Today’s all-new – and, yes, red band – trailer for Waters’ follow-up that sheds some light on the dilemma facing Willie Soke. From mommy issues to a rampant nymphomaniac in Christina Hendricks’ charity worker, one with a “heart of gold and libido of steel.”

With all that in mind, we should warn you that this latest peek is crude, over-the-top and decidedly not safe for work. That’s part and parcel »

‘Tis The Season For Raunchy Comedy In The New Nsfw Trailer For ‘Bad Santa 2’

21 September 2016 8:58 AM, PDT | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

Foul, filthy, adults only — these aren’t the words you generally associate with the Christmas season, but this year, “Bad Santa 2” is going to bring plenty of raunch to the holiday season. Billy Bob Thornton is back as the irascible titular character, but with with all-new series of hijinks that will certainly find him landing in all kinds of trouble.

Directed by Mark Waters (“Mean Girls“) and co-starring Christina Hendricks, Kathy Bates, and Tony Cox, this time around Willie is roped into a job that will see him work with his mother — who is arguably a tougher nut than he is — and join a plan to rob a charity.

The article originally appeared on EW.com.Adele began her six-night run at New York's famed Madison Square Garden on Monday, which the British star suggested the crowd treat as a Friday instead. She certainly did, as she ran through a wide-ranging set list that featured recent hits like "Hello" and "When We Were Young" and old favorites like "Someone Like You," "Set Fire to the Rain," and the thrilling closer, "Rolling in the Deep." But these days, Adele fans don't go to Adele concerts just to hear that gorgeous voice. They're hopeful for a hilarious ad-libbed moment, a potential engagement, »

Who Was Rami Malek's Date at the Emmys? Don't Panic, Your Internet Boyfriend Is Still Single

19 September 2016 12:46 PM, PDT | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

When Rami Malek rolled up to the Emmy Awards on Sunday, the world collectively held its breath for two reasons: 1.) He looked so damn good in his dapper white Dior suit, and 2.) He had a stunning date on his arm. A new girlfriend? A Mr. Robot superfan? Nope, just his cousin. "You're with your family - it's the best way to go through an experience like this," he told E!'s Giuliana Rancic on the red carpet while his cousin, whom he didn't introduce by name, stood by his side. The woman was wearing a gorgeous Marchesa gown and couldn't stop gushing over Rami as he continued the interview. "I am so proud of him," she said about his first Emmy nomination, after fangirling a little bit over meeting Giuliana. Later on, Rami took home the trophy for best actor in a drama series, and his cousin could be seen »

The Tivoli Announces the ‘Reel Late’ Midnight Line-Up – Mean Girls, Halloween, Aliens, and More!

18 September 2016 9:22 PM, PDT | WeAreMovieGeeks.com | See recent WeAreMovieGeeks.com news »

Another brilliant lineup, but only five movies to announce as we end the season for this year’s ‘Reel Late at The Tivoli’ midnight series. It’s a typically good variety of titles that will draw the late night movie buff crowd with a couple of retro surprises. The Midnight Movie experience has always catered to a college-age crowd and that’s the way it should be. Rocky Horror Picture Show with live shadow cast with the Samurai Electricians climaxes the new schedule on October 21st and 22nd as well as October 28th and 29th. The oldest film this time is Young Frankenstein from 1974 (this was actually chosen before Gene Wilder’s death) and the most recent is Mean Girls from 2004. I think John Carpenter’s Halloween is new to the Tivoli midnight roster, and I suspect it will draw a good crowd.

The Tivoli is located at 6350 Delmar – in »

Join Lindsey Lohan and Those Mean Girls This Weekend Midnights at The Tivoli

18 September 2016 7:18 PM, PDT | WeAreMovieGeeks.com | See recent WeAreMovieGeeks.com news »

“I’m sorry that people are so jealous of me… but I can’t help it that I’m so popular.”

Mean Girls plays this weekend (September 23rd and 24th) at the Tivoli as part of their Reel Late at the Tivoli Midnight series.

Mean Girls may only be 12 years old, but this cult film for the current generation shows how some things never change. High school comes with cliques, bullies, and memories you want to forget. Every person that has gone through the high school experience can relate. Mean Girls does a good job of over exaggerating the typical dreadful four years. Pre-punchline Lindsey Lohan stars as Cady Heron, an unsocialized teenage girl who grew up in Africa and suddenly finds herself in the midst of high school drama. Cady describes the first few days as “a surreal blur”. She starts out being friends with two losers who let »

Mean Girls director Mark Waters to helm Disney’s Magic Camp

17 September 2016 6:00 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

According to The Tracking Board, director Mark Waters (Mean Girls) has signed on to direct Disney’s long-gestating live-action family comedy Magic Camp, which has Steve Martin attached to star.

The site reports that Magic Camp “follows a rigid and cautious banker who returns to the summer camp he attended as a boy: a camp for magic. His return to the camp is as a fun counselor to help out the young group of rag-tag magicians, but privately he also has an eye on winning the Golden Wand competition.”

Along with a new director, screenwriters Noah Harpster and Micah Fitzerman-Blue have been brought in to work on the script, taking over from Max Winkler and Matthew Spicer, who only joined the project back in July.

The project will mark Waters’ second collaboration with Disney, having previously helmed the 2003 comedy Freaky Friday starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. His next offering, »

Amanda Seyfried Flashes Her Minimalist Engagement Ring

Amanda Seyfried is giving everyone a glimpse of her engagement ring—but don't look for a diamond.  On the heels of her surprise engagement to her Last Word co-star, Thomas Sadoski, the actress was spotted gabbing on her cell phone while walking the streets of New York City. Clad in a simple t-shirt and jeans, the Mean Girls alum looked laid back while sporting a ponytail and pair of sunglasses.  Still, her new hand candy could not be hidden as photographers captured a simple gold band sitting pretty on that finger. While fans may have expected a glitzy Hollywood rock, Seyfried's minimal band seems to suit her easygoing look.  Though they »

Mean Girls director set for Magic Camp

Simon Brew Sep 7, 2016

Mark Waters is set to bring the long-in-gestation, not Harry-Potter-like Magic Camp to the big screen...

Disney is moving ahead with a new live action family comedy – and it’s hired Mean Girls helmer Mark Waters to bring it to the screen.

Magic Camp tells the story of a boring banker who heads back to the summer camp that he went to when he was a child. And as you might guess from the title, it’s a camp for magic.

This time, he’s the camp counsellor, and the challenge is to assemble his young charges and to try and win the Golden Wand (it sounds a bit Tri-Wizard Tournament-y, but let’s go with it). It’s a project that’s been in gestation at Disney for some time, and the latest draft of the screenplay is being penned by Noah Harpster and Micah Fitzerman-Blue. »

Yoga Hosers Review

1 September 2016 9:03 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Thanks to my surprisingly contrarian adoration of Kevin Smith (amongst critics, at least), I sat down for Yoga Hosers filled with curious excitement. One Kevin Smith movie packs more personality than some filmmakers produce over an entire career, and his daddy-daughter feature teased bizarre delicacies beyond Earthly words.

Alas, my take on Smith’s Canadian zero-to-hero nightmare aligns with most other negative views, but it’s still an admirably passionate project that I salute the renegade director for tackling. Smith takes tremendous creative risks every time he pens a script, and sometimes they become Clerks, or Tusk, or Zack And Miri Make A Porno, while other times they’re Yoga Hosers. It’s a numbers game, really.

So – regrettably – let’s get to the not fun part.

Yoga Hosers is a hollow genre mashup that can be best described as Buzzfeed meets Jem And The Holograms meets a neat-enough podcast discussion. »
