Jackie Shroff felt the films effects were not up to mark. He shared this with Raj Sippy. Sippy agreed that the lenses were not correct , and this would be fixed in the final editing.
The VHS copy released in the 1985 was a pirated copy version taken from the theatre .The movie was never officially released by the producers. In pirated version the title sequence did not have any writing for the technical credits. It was a voice over by the narrator showing items like a gun for "Action by Veeru Devgan", a pen for "Dialogues by Kader Khan" a harmonium for "Music by Rahul Dev Burman". When released on DVD this was changed into a regular title sequence with writing.
Kim was angry with Raj Sippy for not signing her. She agreed to do a small role Andhar Bahar with the promise of a lead role in Shiva Ka Insaaf. Sippy ended up signing Poonam Dhillon.
