An excellent, thought provoking short film.

I recently watched this film, and was extremely impressed by this based on a true story visualization presented by Mike Lemon. To me, it really showed that life sometimes can defined by a single moment in time when you meet the right person, or that someone special that you may encounter only once in an existence that makes all the difference in you as a person, continuing on with more to strive for. The actors do a solid job in delivering with the portrayal of a gamut of emotions in this story. Bob Bowersox is great as Mike, a confused middle-aged man looking for something more out of life then what it's currently offered. David Duzenski shines as Michael, another lost soul that fines comfort in Bowersox's angelic type character. Overall, a wonderful short film that will warm any heart, regardless of prejudices or preferences, due to it's ability to score with numerous points that many of us should take heed to in our lives, so our days may be a little easier to cope with.

A Short That Hit Close To Home
Legion1 January 2005
I didn't know anything about this short when I first watched it and didn't pay much attention to the fact that it was based on a real story. By the time the short was over, I found it to have connected with an event from my own life when I offered help to someone in need. Well-acted, the only fault I could find with the film was the contrived dialog ending. Unknown actor David Duzenski was brilliant in his performance as a young man on the verge. Bob Bowersox was believable as well, though the role would've been more interestingly played if a more physically strong man had been cast instead of the milk-toast portrayal we have. That in no way is to belittle the caliber of acting and the effect this film has on the viewer. This is must see. I rated it a 10 out of 10.

Love - real love - between kindred spirits - heart-breaking and moving

What an amazing film.

Two lonely lives touching each other and changing each other in a single encounter.

The low key direction and script by Mike Lemon are masterly. Bob Bowersox is soothingly gentle and focused throughout, even during David Duzenski's tirade. Duzenski is not only physically angelic but incredibly talented, totally believable in both his soft persona and his angry, tortured, guilt-ridden outburst.

Heart-breaking and unforgettable. Why isn't it on DVD? It's on Youtube, placed by someone from Poland, so I imagine it's available in Europe. Someone who puts together gay short film compilations should get their hands on this gem!
