Storyline

In the year Cosmic Era (CE) 71, a war between the Earth Alliance and ZAFT (Zodiac Alliance of Freedom Treaty) breaks out. The Earth Alliance catches up in technology after ZAFT has a head start building giant man-piloted robots called mobile suits. Trivia

The Captain of the Archangel Cpt. Murrue Ramius is loosely based from Tom Clancy's The Hunt for Red October character named Marko Ramius. Fittingly Murrue Ramius also ended up defecting to the nation of ORB just like Marko Ramius' defection to the US. See more »

Quotes

Cagalli Yula Athha: [has a gun drawn on Athurn, whose knife is drawn upon her in a combat stance] I won't let you get back in that Mobile Suit! Many more will die if I do!
Athrun Zala: [With courageous sincerity] Then shoot me.
[Cagalli gasps]
Athrun Zala: I must fight the naturals, for if I don't, more of my people will be murdered like the innocents on PLANT. Such is my duty, for I am a warrior of ZAFT. So if you intend to stop me, I suggest you open fire.

Awesomeness.
27 August 2005 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

I absolutely love Seed. It's one of my favourite series, and though I have heard from a lot of people that they found it slow at the start, I did not find this a problem. I would advise to watch it in the original Japanese with subs, as quite frankly the dub is nearly as bad as the Evangelion dub, which pretty much batters my ears with a very large hammer. Lacus and Fllay under the dub become awful, they are given voices that do not suit their characters imo, and the way they are voiced makes me think that the voice actors looked at the hair and thought, pink hair = bimbo . I think the storyline is good, the characters are interesting, and it all looks great. The only problem is scene reuse, but I'll live with it. So I recommend highly with a whopping..... 9/10
