Cute film

Warning: Spoilers
I can understand why she's conflicted about relationships. It's terrible to lose your mom at such a young age. I think maybe she chose the men she did because she's afraid to invest too much, so she got involved with men who she knew wasn't right for her.

At first I said to myself, "Gee she's a real nightmare!" But as I got to know her situation, I really liked her and I bet this film project taught her a lot.

None of those guys deserved her, except her dad. I liked him too, by the way. I know she's going to be okay - she just needs to trust herself.

Excellent little documentary on wanting closure

Warning: Spoilers
Director and protagonist Jyllian Perry has achieved to bring to reality something all girls have dreamt about: meeting our exes and questioning them on what went wrong and why we where not the one. Whereas Ms Perry's love history has nothing to do with mine, throughout the film she was voicing my questions and acting much in the way I suspect I would have acted in a similar situation. This is not just a novelty documentary - her experience, sadness and epiphanies, and how she relates the whole thing to her relationship with her parents is nostalgic but lucid (SPOILER: at one point she sleeps with one of the ex and he accuses her of doing it for its shock value.). The author doesn't shy away from showing herself obsessed or vulnerable, but this emotional quality shouldn't stop you from seeing the film's technical merits. I'm pretty sure sound editing must have been a hassle, and the photography is much more consistent than most indie documentaries I've seen. As life itself, the film doesn't solve all the question it raises, but definitely something has changed once you've seen it.

This movie really stuck with me for weeks after I saw it. It was real reality. It was unusual and thought provoking and both funny and sad. I have told everyone I know to see it.
