It's a story about the small things in life and relationships, things that everybody knows and has experienced. When people forget to brush their teeth before they go to work, they leave bread on the butter knife, they use too much milk to their coffee, they pour milk over their lovers head in anger, , they despise affairs, except their own affairs. It's about the small things in life that everyone can relate to, mainly shot in a small village, with small film crew and small budget. The only thing that will be big, is the amount of sold tickets. For those who like conversational movies like When Harry met Sally and The Big Chill, this humble Czech/Icelandic movie is a real find. I was lucky enough to be invited to a pre-screening, expecting nothing much, really.
But the movie was just great in every aspect. It is funny, romantic and intelligent at the same time. The actors are all little known Czech actors that do a great job. The movie is in Czech, but I saw it with English subtitles, which I hope did the Czech conversations justice. They were at least good in the translations.
I strongly recommend this movie.
