They collaborated creatively through multiple decades, creating cinematic magic on the screen that still resonates with horror fans today. As far as one-two punches go when it comes to directors and composers, Lucio Fulci and Fabio Frizzi pack a huge wallop, and in the years since Fulci's passing in 1996, Frizzi has kept the spirit of Fulci's movies alive through his music, including recent live performances of his scores, two of which will take place on October 29th and the 30th at the New York City's Music Hall of Williamsburg. Ahead of the anticipated shows, I had the honor of catching up with Frizzi for our latest Q&A to talk about the joys of performing live, collaborating with Fulci, The Beyond Composer's Cut, and more.
Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for us, Fabio. Fans of your work have been able to see you perform »

A reclusive circus master invites a group of social media stars to his house of haunts. Anyone who can make it out before being scared into submission will earn $250,000 – but they soon learn they are not only competing for money, but also fighting for their lives…
At the beginning of Circus Kane, circus master Balthazar Kane (Tim Abell) says “Nothing is for free. If it’s too good to be true it probably is”. This would have been good advice for a group of naive social media stars. Offered $250,00 if they can make it through a new haunted house attraction without being scared into submission, it really does seem too good to be true. »

Press Release: Universal City, California, June 29, 2017 – Fans of the world’s most demonic doll are in for another blood-spattered treat as Chucky continues his reign of terror behind the locked doors of an insane asylum in Cult of Chucky, coming to Blu-ray™, DVD, Digital and On Demand on October 3, 2017, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, 1982.
Directed by Steven Spielberg.
Anniversaries divisible by five remain popular with the Hollywood studios’ home theater divisions, so of course E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial needed (not really) that treatment for its 35th anniversary. If you have the Blu-ray issued five years ago, you can skip this one, but it’s a worthwhile upgrade if you only own the 2002 two-disc DVD edition. The 1.5-hour laserdisc documentary remains missing, but a chunk of its material was repurposed for the bonus features found here.
E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial may feel hokey to modern audiences, but it’s one of many movies directed by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas that had a huge impact on my childhood and on my creative sensibilities. As such, I’m always happy to give it another spin, and »

The killer clown party continues throughout the weekend, with It arriving as one of the biggest horror movies of all time. Crepitus is coming next, and Bill Moseley proves that Pennywise has nothing on this painted freak. It's a delicious bit of cotton candy colored ice cream that will melt down your hand quicker than you can yell, 'Help! I'm being eaten by a clown!'
Haynze Whitmore directs Bill Moseley as Crepitus. The movie is coming from indie studio Ginger Knight Entertainment, and it is in the final stages of post-production. Our enemies at Bloody Disgusting have the exclusive new trailer. And it's a blood-soaked doozy that will leave you shivering and screaming.
Crepitus is expected to arrive sometime during the Fall season, and might even hit theaters and VOD in time to enjoy some Halloween attention. Because if there is one thing this Halloween needs, it's definitely another creepy clown. »
The 47-year-old first lady and former model was photographed Saturday morning in a pair of snakeskin stilettos as she and President Donald Trump left the White House to make their way to Air Force One.
It was a bold move considering the criticism Melania received just four days earlier when she first traveled to the flood-ravaged state to observe Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, wearing a pair of sky-high black heels. »

Being a mom during the holidays can make Santa Claus' job look like a holly jolly cakewalk. As the head of a dysfunctional family in Craig Anderson's Red Christmas, Dee Wallace not only has to worry about keeping the peace, she also has to try to keep her family members in one piece when a killer crashes their festivities. With the holiday horror film out now in select theaters, I had the great pleasure of speaking with Wallace about her multifaceted new role, and we also had the chance to reflect on her amazing film career, including the legacy of Steven Spielberg's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and her experience playing Cynthia Strode in Rob Zombie's Halloween.
Thanks so much for taking the time to talk and congratulations on Red Christmas. I’m a big fan of your career, and one thing I’ve always appreciated is that you »

While today’s technology-laden world makes a lot of things easier, it also comes at a price. Things may be easier than ever before, allowing us to be more productive in ways we never imagined, but it can sometimes open up all sorts of unexpected dangers.
There have been all kinds of horror movies that use technology at its center. One Missed Call used the cell phone, Unfriended was a horror film that took place over an extensive Skype conversation, and now, Friend Request takes the idea of social media and mixes it with a dash of more traditional horror elements, including witchcraft. But is it enough to make this film anything more than another gimmick?
Based on the trailer, it’s difficult to say. At some points, the concepts seems pretty interesting, but at others, it comes across as more of a cringefest. This one also has an interesting release history. »

She may not often pop up on lists of the top horror icons, but Dee Wallace has damn sure earned the right to be on every single one of them. With memorable roles in Cujo, The Howling, Critters, Popcorn, The Frighteners and Rob Zombie’s Halloween, Wallace is undoubtedly one of the top “scream queens” of all […] »
