The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Going out of his way to act like a wealthy playboy, Bruce visits a restaurant with two women on his arm who wind up frolicking in a nearby pool (bare shoulders shown). Sweethearts share a tender kiss.

Violence & Gore

There are lot of fighting and beatings.

Bruce's parents death is brutal and shocking; they are shot with a gun. However, the man who killed them later gets avenged and we briefly see him dead.

A young boy falls into a well and is attacked by bats.

A man is trained to fight and is attacked (as a training) by another man to practice.

The Scarecrow's gas intends to kill people in a disturbing way.

A man's house is put on fire and he is left there to die but he survives.

There is more violence, but I don't exactly remember what, please edit if you remember more :)

A use of"goddamn," a use of "asshole," a few "hells" and "damns," and a few uses of "God" and "Jesus." One use of "shit".

Although no substance use is ever shown apart from alcohol or smoking, the plot revolves around drugs and drug dealers.

A man pretends to be drunk in order to flee guests from his party.

A man uses fear toxins to cause people to hallucinate

The film has a generally dark atmosphere.

One of the main villains uses a hallucinogenic gas that causes great fear. The effects are quite disturbing, with faces changing into monsters, lashing out and scaring others.

One intense scene involves Batman flying around a warehouse and attacking thugs. In another scene, bats badly scare a little boy and create a scary and claustrophobic effect.

Twice in the movie, a house burns down, once killing many, and another almost killing a man.

Scarecrow may be a frightening villain to some people.

A boy has his parents killed in front of him.

Total Explicit Rating: 22.5/50

Even though the explicit rating isn't very high, the film is dark, depressing, intense, and even frightening at times. Recommended 13+
