‘Rogue One’: Dermot Mulroney Played Cello for Michael Giacchino’s Score
For those who have watched “Mozart in the Jungle” you’ve probably seen Dermot Mulroney as world-renowned cello soloist Andrew Walsh. The actor, known for such films and series as “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” “Shameless” and “The Wedding Date,” really is a professional musician who picked up the cello at the age of seven.

As his acting career took off, music was put to the side until he became an established actor. Now, Mulroney’s most recent work as a cellist is being part of Michael Giacchino’s “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” score, where he held the 11th seat in the cello section, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Ten Stock Female Characters Hollywood Needs to Stop Writing

Kirsty Capes with ten stock female characters Hollywood needs to stop writing…

From Mary Sues to Disposable Women, Hollywood seems to have a problem with writing interesting and original female characters. It’s not a problem, I would argue, that seems to happen with male characters, and I for one find it interesting, if not a little disheartening, to pick apart some of my favourite women in film and realise that they are just another trope.

In an attempt to better identify when we’re presented with one of these tropes, I’ve put together a list of the most commonly occurring ones. My disclaimer is that, as you will see, some great characters and movies appear on this list, and identifying a character as a trope is in no way a reflection upon her or the movie as a whole. Some of the most fundamental tropes are also some

'Big Bang Theory' Season 9 Trailer Teases the Big Wedding
Is it too early to call this the wedding of the year? Yes, the cat has long ago been let out of the bag. Leonard and Penny are finally tying the knot in the The Big Bang Theory Season 9 premiere episode The Matrimony Momentum. And lt looks like Leonard's having a bit of a problem carrying Penny across the threshold. CBS has released the first trailer, and it looks like the couple's nuptials are very barebones, understated and definitely no frills as they enjoy their short honeymoon in Las Vegas.

This latest sneak peek debuted last night during the premiere episode of Late Show with Stephen Colbert. We get only a fleeting glimpse of Penny (Kaley Cuoco) in her wedding attire as she prepares for her very short walk down the isle with Leonard (Johnny Galecki). The rest of The Big Bang gang are watching everything go down via satellite.

The Wedding Ringer Review: Needs More Olivia Thirlby

Doug Harris (Josh Gad) is a likable shlub with a fat bank account, a beautiful fiance (Kaley Cuoco) and one small problem. He has no guy friends to be his best man and groomsmen at his upcoming wedding. That all changes though when he discovers Best Man, Inc. and its CEO, Jimmy Callahan (Kevin Hart). He won’t be your friend after the wedding, but for a small fee Jimmy will be the best best man you could have hoped for, for a slightly bigger fee he’ll also include one or two groomsmen for your special day and for $50k? For $50k he’ll roll out the Golden Tux package. The illusion works flawlessly for the first few minutes, but it’s all downhill once grandma (Cloris Leachman) catches on fire. The Wedding Ringer is less of a movie than a log line, and it’s a fact evident through almost every one of the film
