Set to release March 6th, this dark gritty film brings together a very talented crew of technicians including international action directors headed by Armin Sauer, who has done stunt work in The Bourne Supremacy, V for Vendetta and The Constant Gardner among other films.
French make-up artist, Romy Angevin was flown in to help with the realistic look of the Nh-10, “It’s a new-age thriller and the prosthetics helped to break stereotypes. Anushka is a star but in this film we did not want to glamourise her at all. The protagonist is a woman who is assaulted but she is spirited and fights back. We wanted the scratches, bruises and gashes she sustains to look convincing. That’s »

Screenwriter Dan Gilroy made his directorial this year with Nightcrawler, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a corrupt freelance crime reporter who will do anything to get a story. Since the film’s premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, it’s garnered Oscar buzz and has been compared to best picture winner Crash (2004). It holds a 95 percent positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, was named one of AFI’s top 10 films of the year and received four BAFTA nominations, as well as three Critics’ Choice Awards. Gyllenhaal has earned Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and Critics’ Choice acting nominations. If Gilroy were to earn a nomination for best director, like Crash did, he would become the sixth director in the 21st century to achieve that accolade.

Last September, fans rejoiced when it was announced that star Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting) & director Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy; The Bourne Ultimatum) would both be returning to the Bourne franchise for Damon's fourth adventure as the amnesiac ex-cia assassin Jason Bourne. Their untitled Bourne return film, tentatively titled Bourne 5, was given the July 16, 2016 release date and effectively pushed The Bourne Legacy sequel, starring Jeremy Renner (The Avengers), back to an yet-to-be announced future date. Now, Variety is reporting that we may have to wait just a little bit longer to see Matt Damon don the black jacket once again. Facing stiff competition from Fox's Ice Age 5 & Paramount's Star Trek 3, Universal has decided to push Damon's Bourne 5 back two weeks to July 29, 2016. This is not an uncommon release date for a Bourne film as the previous three films in the franchise have seen »
Universal Pictures has pushed its Untitled Matt Damon Bourne Sequel back two weeks from July 15, 2016 to July 29, 2016. The release shift comes in response to 20th Century Fox moving Planet of the Apes 3 out of the July 29, 2016 date and into the summer of 2017. As of now, the Untitled Matt Damon Bourne Sequel is only going up against the 20th Century Fox comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.
We reported back in September that Matt Damon is reuniting with The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass for a new Jason Bourne sequel. Nothing is known about the story at this point, and it isn't clear if there is even a screenwriter attached, but Matt Damon confirmed in November that the project will be released in 2016. The sequel must be moving along smoothly, though, for Universal to only push the sequel back two weeks.
