Storyline

Gary Andrews is a ruthless lawyer who has devoted himself to winning the Rat Race of life. As it turns, he has been so successful at it that one night, he mysteriously changed into a humanoid rat for real. Now, Gary must struggle to live with this bizarre condition even while he resists the suggestion that changing his ways may be the only way to change back. Unknown to Gary however, one of his neighboring tenants has hired an insane exterminator, Johnny Horatio Bugz, to kill him although Bugz has far more determination than competence. Quotes

Gary's Therapist: So what seems to be the problem?
Gary 'The Rat' Andrews: Well, for starters, I'm a six-foot rat.
Gary's Therapist: You're not happy with your height. That's a good start.

Crazy Credits

There is a slight dialogue change after the first eight eps and the show was moved to an earlier time, Originally, Gary first sees himself as a rat in his mirror and screams in horror, then mutters under his breath, "Gary the Rat. Shit." This line is changed when the word 'shit' is replaced by a rather hurriedly said "This just sucks". This dialogue may have been taken from the episode where Gary is trying to find a date for a business party. See more »

Very funny, not for the kids adult humor
3 February 2008 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I loved this show, it was on Spike TV later in the evening. Some of the humor is legal so it helps to know a little about the profession. The whole concept of a lawyer that's so nasty he wakes up as a rat is just too hilarious. I was sorry to see it die so fast but I suspect the humor was too sophisticated for the general sort of person that would watch Spike TV. When you see the series you'll recognize schtick related to a few things that were in the news at the time, the episode with the copier rear shots was pretty funny. The humor is dry and multifaceted, like I said I just think it was over the heads of most of the teenage males that tend to watch spike TV, a lawyer will think this is a riot as will anyone else of the more intellectual set. I wish they'd revive it, was a great show. Now if they'd put it out to DVD I'd buy it.
