I read the feature length version of this script when it was submitted to a company - whose name I won't mention, to do coverage on. It has to be the most disturbing script I've ever read, which in my mind, gave it some merit. So I gave it a high score, because I felt someone else should have to read this script. It's about a sister and brother who are fatally turned on to one another. He is now engaged to me married, but his sister will go to any length to prevent this from happening. I must admit that I'm curious to see the short version.
The fact that the lead is played by the writer adds another level of perversion to "The Wind Effect." Trust me when I say that it grosses one out on a visceral level. You won't want to hang out with your siblings for a while once you've read "The Wind Effect." In fact, after describing the story to my boyfriend, he wanted to know the name of this disturbing screenplay, and from then on, when something unnerving comes up in conversation, he says, "Please...I don't want to talk about the Wind Effect any longer."
