Thor: Ragnarok Panel Brings First Look to Comic-Con

12 hours ago | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Whenever it is confirmed that Marvel Studios will have a Comic-Con panel, fans are often left to guess which movies the studio will showcase that particular year. This year, the studio returned after skipping the con last year, and we knew going on that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Doctor Strange would be part of the presentation. Since production had started just a few weeks ago in Australia, most weren't surprised when the cast of Thor: Ragnarok wasn't in attendance, but Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige didn't leave this movie out of the presentation, by confirming the new cast members and releasing the official logo.

Marvel also debuted an amusing skit put together by director Taika Waititi, which Kevin Feige teased was in response to the filmmaker's constant queries about why Thor doesn't appear in Captain America: Civil War. Various reports from the panel revealed that this video is »

While the footage hasn't debuted online quite yet, a new interview with the director and stars reveals exactly who Tom Holland's co-stars are playing.

When the official Comic-Con schedule was released a few weeks ago, there weren't many details about Marvel Studios' Hall H panel on Saturday. We already knew that Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 would be part of the festivities, thanks to social media updates from directors James Gunn and Scott Derrickson, but nothing else about the panel was known. Part of the festivities included the reveal of a new logo for Thor: Ragnarok, along with a unique skit put together by director Takika Waititi and a sizzle reel.

The logo debuted on Twitter, but we're not sure if this unique skit and will make its way online quite yet. The video is presented as a mini documentary that shows how stressed out Thor has become, and he has moved to New Zealand to become roommates with a guy named Darryl. There are scenes where Thor is talking with Bruce Banner, »

Stan Lee Reflects on His Successes and Regrets: "I Should Have Been Greedier"

21 July 2016 6:00 AM, PDT | The Hollywood Reporter | See recent The Hollywood Reporter news »

After 75 years in the comic book business, Stan Lee has picked up his fair share of souvenirs. His handsomely shabby office in Beverly Hills is cluttered with cool superhero swag. There's a vintage Spider-Man pinball machine in one corner, a life-sized Spidey statue squatting in another, framed photos with multiple presidents (and Beatle Paul McCartney) on the walls and, of course, an army of action figures — Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, a doll that looks vaguely like Stan Lee himself — patrolling the bookshelves. But propped on the floor, easy to overlook amid all the superhero

Transformers 5 Set Video Shows Off Big Highway Explosion

19 July 2016 6:11 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

When Universal's Fast & Furious 8 started production earlier this summer, the sequel started a tradition known as Fast Fridays, where the filmmakers would share a special behind-the-scenes video that offers a glimpse at what scenes they shot that particular week. It seems Paramount's Transformers: The Last Knight is starting a new tradition of their own dubbed Transformers Tuesday, where they will share a new video each week for Transformers 5.

This week's video, which debuted on the Transformers Facebook, reveals a scene that features a number of vehicles travelling down a highway, before a massive explosion takes out three of these SUV's, which are seen rolling end over end on this desolate stretch of road. This video also gives us brief glimpses of Michael Bay in action, setting up this explosive scene. We don't know where exactly in the movie this scene will take place quite yet, but hopefully we'll get »

Spider-Man Vs. Giant-Man in Civil War Concept Art

18 July 2016 1:46 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Last May, when production began on Captain America: Civil War, many were surprised when Paul Rudd was announced to return as Ant-Man in this Marvel Phase Three adventure. However, it started to make more sense after Ant-Man hit theaters with a post credit scene that tied into Civil War. As production was under way, there had been several rumors swirling that Ant-Man may transform into Giant Man, which is exactly what happened in this blockbuster, and today we have early concept art from part of this scene.

The artwork comes courtesy of artist Andy Park's Twitter, revealing that when he painted these keyframes, he thought, "Holy Cow we're gonna see this on film?!" Ant-Man transformed into Giant Man during the massive airport fight sequence between Team Cap and Team Iron Man. While Giant-Man certainly helped Team Cap get the upper hand, it was Spider-Man who used an idea from that "old movie, »

Spider-Man Shows Off His Web-Shooters in New Homecoming Video

14 July 2016 9:47 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Yesterday, we showed you a new video from the Spider-Man: Homecoming set, where Spidey was seen swinging down to stop a bike thief. The video seemed to be shot across the street from the action, and while we could see the brief scene unfold just fine, it wasn't exactly the most optimal view of the action. Today we have new videos that offer a much better look at this scene, showing Tom Holland using his "web-shooters" to subdue this criminal.

Of course, since the webs Spidey flings at this criminal will be added in post-production, we don't really see the web shooters, and we don't know exactly if Spider-Man has anything to say to this criminal before stringing him up. The Twitter user "Atlanta Filming" that posted these videos also revealed that it is actually Tom Holland in the suit, and not his stunt double. We also get a new »

Dwayne Johnson Is Now the Highest Paid Actor in the World

13 July 2016 12:11 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

In a relatively short period of time, Dwayne Johnson went from being just another wrestler who was trying to make some extra money as a movie star, to one of the most prolific movie stars on the planet. It looks like all of that hard work has paid off. According to a new report, it looks like The Rock is now the highest paid actor in all of Hollywood for 2016.

According to Forbes, who just published their new Celebrity 100 list for 2016, Johnson made $64.5 million this year, making him the highest paid actor on the list. He came in at number 19 overall, and there were some people, such as his Central Intelligence co-star Kevin Hart, who made some money acting above him on the list. But Johnson was the highest paid person on the list who made the lion's share of his money from movies and TV.
