‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Goes Tamer for Film

22 January 2014 6:45 AM, PST | Nerve | See recent Nerve news »

Fifty Shades of Grey’ Goes Tamer for Film That's disappointing. By Georgette Eva According to reports, the Fifty Shades of Grey film adaptation will be much tamer than its source material in order to avoid the Nc-17 rating. But then what’s left? James Dornan and Dakota Johnson—the duo to take on millionaire Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele’s erotic exploits— already filmed most of the steamy sex scenes, but as the studio opts for a lower age rating, they’re in danger of getting cut. The film’s producer, Michael De Luca, agrees that while the action in the Red Room is cinematic, he wants to stay true to the couple’s relationship. “I think people love a good love story,” he said at Sundance this week. “These two characters endeared themselves to 90 [...] »

21 January 2014 8:00 AM, PST | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

This is confusing! "Fifty Shades of Grey" stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are apparently making the Red Room of Pain steamy with their chemistry, according to producer Michael De Luca.

"The chemistry is there, they genuinely like each other," he told E! "They're enjoying the story, the story is so powerful." Another source added that they've "filmed a majority of the sex scenes and really hit it off."

However! Those sex scenes in question? They'll be "less racy than the book." Which is weird 'cause we're not sure there's much left to the book once you take out a lot of the sex, right? "They felt it would be too much, so they have dialed those scenes back," said the source. Even so, the crew was limited to 12 people during the filming of those scenes because Sex. Granted, if they did include all the book's sex scenes, they'd probably »

Could we be seeing a lot less S&M on the big screen? One Internet rumor caused a lot of uproar today, as a random website reported that the film adaptation of the E.L. James' "Fifty Shades" trilogy was going to be condensed into one film. So, instead of getting at least three flicks packed with paddles, whips and Christian Grey's "Red Room of Pain," this latest report suggested we'd only get a solo outing. As evidence, the post said stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are scheduled to film scenes from the third book next month ... and cited an alleged production company press release. So, we had to ask, is there any truth to this horrible rumor? We reached out to Universal, who confirmed to toofab that the report is indeed false.Phew, that means "Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" will all »
