[
Amanda and Jane are shopping for gifts for Jane's cousin Dana and her husband-to-be.]
Amanda:
Did you find anything for Dana and Larry?
Jane:
Oh, hardly. I mean, what do you get a guy that's funny but serious, athletic but poetic, masculine but feminine...?
Amanda:
Boyfriend?
Jane:
Of course. The one thing they don't have here.

This was an adorable chick flick that is definitely worth seeing but not necessary by any means. Charisma Carpenter is precisely that: totally charismatic and lovable. She plays an shy, under-confident young woman who has trouble with men and is in search for a date to take to her snotty cousin's wedding. Her two, overly pushy but well-meaning best friends don't help matters and the fact that she is suddenly thrust into working with beautiful, Natasha Nutley (Holly Marie Combs) from highschool makes her predicament even worse. Overall, it's a light comedy that is enjoyable and amusing. Charisma totally sells her character and the audience definitely identifies with her. Holly Marie Combs is hilarious in her portrayal of B-list actress Natasha. Together, Combs and Carpenter make a wonderful duo and light up the screen with their talent, chemistry and well, their Charimsa.
Another thing. It's interesting to note that the movie was filmed only two months after Carpenter gave birth to her son.
