A new revolutionary theory about parallel space dimensions is proposed. In 2007, on the basis of this theory, the U.S. government conducts a top secret scientific experiment in an attempt to send a probe to a theoretical parallel universe. The experiment succeeds, but an armed alien creature on the other side destroys the probe which inadvertently causes the fragile spatial wormhole to collapse and create a dangerous spatial vortex in the ocean that begins to slowly suck in all matter. The scientists asses that the Earth will be completely obliterated in less than a month, so the government sends former U.S. Navy SEAL security specialist Cutter Slade to escort a group of scientists, one of whom he especially cares about, to this parallel world and retrieve the probe which should theoretically close the vortex. Other worldly goodness
2 August 2007 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

I first bought this game a year after its release. At the time i'd bought ....wait for it..... a 16mb 3DFX graphics card.Realising that this game couldn't show off my new card i put the game in the cupboard for 18 months. Finally one day when i was bored i thought i'd give the game another go and i'm so glad i did. If you can see your way past the rather strange rendering (which isn't bad, just different)you have a gem of a story. In fact it is the ONLY game to have moved me.The sheer effort that went into making this a believable experience is evident from the outset. Vast environments, wonderful characters and a first class musical score come together in a pretty much unique gaming experience. If you're cheesed off running and gunning down corridors or fighting in warehouses then this game might be the breath of fresh air you need. Worryingly i've become a preacher of all things Outcast, it kind of turns you that way. Enjoy.
