”Everyone at [game developer] Capcom has had their input into the idea and they're all very excited. I don't want to tell you what it is but it's very exciting." Anderson told the site. "The game is constantly [evolving] and so is the movie franchise. We're doing it very much in conjunction with the developers of the videogame to give the audience something fresh but something that fits within the world of the videogame."
All I want is more zombies and less superhero Mila. Is that asking too much? Anderson also stated that Castlevania, which he also wrote, is on hold for now until the SAG issues are straightened out and everyone can agree to play nice. I »

The project, written by Robin Jacob and historical novelist Helen Hollick, is the culmination of over four years of historical research and script development.
Industry stunt legend Rocky Taylor, who has featured in 17 Bond movies, will take charge of the film's stunt scenes.
Craig is said to be in negotiations to play Harold's rival William in a rival epic, which will trace his life prior to his victory at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. »

Andrew Clement was ten when he implored his father to see "The Exorcist," only to have his dad come back from seeing the William Friedkin horror classic and tell him, "You are not seeing that film!" These days, Clement is partners with Dick Smith, the man who was responsible for Linda Blair's spinning head and the pea soup, and takes pride in carrying on Smith's proud tradition -- "We did [a dummy] for the end of 'Cloverfield,' which was in the final frames of the film," said Clement. "And people are having this emotional reaction to this character dying and it's just a piece of my rubber."
Such rubber is the stuff ten-year-old's nightmares are made of, and as part of our weeklong celebration of the ingenious makeup magicians and creature creators like Clement that are precise in their scares and liberal with the red-tinged corn syrup, »

Collider.com recently chatted with producer John Davis and in the interview, Davis essentially declared the ALIENS VS PREDATOR franchise dead. He says, "I think we’ve logically done what we could’ve done with the two AVP movies. But I think there’s something to go back to with Predator." Oh my... As a fan, I'd like to think they could've done a hell of a lot better then those 2 movies.
But I'm optimistic with the idea of another solo PREDATOR movie! Especially if it means the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger like implied in the following quote. "Well, the Governor has mentioned to me that when he ceases to be Governor, if he doesn’t run for the Senate and all of that stuff, he’d like to do a movie or two again. And I don’t know, maybe we could restart the Predator franchise. Well we’d »
John Davis has revealed his idea for a feature film based on EA's The Sims series. Davis, the producer behind Alien Vs. Predator and I, Robot, told Collider that he is taking inspiration from John Hughes's 1985 film Weird Science for the video game adaptation. Speaking about the film's concept, he explained: "[A kid] and his friend get their hands on this thing called the Sims Infinity Pack. "What they realise is that they can scan their world in, because this is the most life-like, real Sims (more) »

Now this sure would be a strange turn of events. Honestly, if any franchise lived on after the Alien vs. Predator films were done, I would have guessed it’d be Aliens, mainly because it's been around for so long. According to producer John Davis, however, it’s Predator.
Collider recently chatted with the prolific producer, who revealed that the Alien vs. Predator franchise is dead, but we might see another Predator film when Arnold is done with his current role as governor of California. ”Well, the Governor has mentioned to me that when he ceases to be Governor,” Davis said in his interview, ”he’d like to do a movie or two again. And I don’t know, maybe we could restart the Predator franchise.”
Understand this is all speculation from Davis alone; Schwarzenegger didn’t specifically say he’d like to reprise his role as Dutch, but since »

20th Century Fox have picked up a spec script entitled Doomsday Protocol in a reported seven-figure deal.
The Hollywood Reporter say that the plot details for the film are being kept under wraps, but 'it is known to be an epic science fiction adventure in the vein of "The Seven Samurai" involving a group of aliens and humans with various abilities who are brought together to save Earth.'
If you're not immediately familiar with The Many Worlds of Jonas Moore, it might be because you're not sitting in Europe right now. The online graphic novel, which began over a year ago, has become quite a sensation abroad. Indeed, MGM's Domestic Television team has picked up the rights to the property based on its growing worldwide appeal in the hopes that it could take off in North America as a television series. The Many Worlds of Jonas Moore is a trilogy set in a time where the British Empire has never ended and America is just a virtual world hosted on a vast global game network, Jonas Moore, a character personally created by the network's founder, is thrown into a world where characters, creatures and monsters are all slaves to the gamers from the real world. After checking out the novel online, I was surprised that it stars Colin Salmon, »
How much you wanna bet that is Jason Statham under that mask? Either that or his half-brother born in secrecy...
Photo: Universal Pictures Universal actually screened the upcoming Death Race down here in San Diego for Comic Con as the press junket will be held on Sunday, but I wasn't allowed to see it since I wouldn't be able to attend the junket to shill their flick. However, I did receive a free pass from an alternate source, but didn't take advantage. When a studio won't even allow you to see a movie unless you are interviewing their talent that is never a good sign. After all, me seeing it didn't mean I had to put a review up right away. Oh well, it's the Hollywood PR game and you have to play it... Personally I think this mash up of Mad Max meets Fast and the Furious looks entirely ridiculous, »
