Jordan Herrera was supposed to be in the cast. But his old feud with Maui Taylor over the production of Gamitan (2002) forced producers to look for another actor. Maui Taylor earlier vowed never to work with Jordan Herrera after Gamitan (2002), a promise he failed to keep as they starred together in Bugbog sarado (2003).

Ten awards for this movie in 2003 Manila Film Festival. Please take a bow.
Maybe my memory or understanding is so short that I could not comprehend why MFF picked this movie as the run-away winner in the festival. Best picture, best director, best actress, best actor, best supporting actress.... too much for a movie which is not so convincing.
The story is not so unusual... maybe the timing is just right since the Catholic church has been rocked by sex scandal when this movie was released... or maybe the corruption angle in this movie will also be fresh...
Ok, Ara Mina is the best among the actresses with festival entries. Elizabeth is also fine, and she should win the best supporting actress trophy. For Jay Manalo, I am not so much convinced. But this movie, in my opinion, is not actually the best festival entry.
By the way, the ending is so weak!
