Carrey Strips Stranger To Feel Festive

21 December 2005 | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Jim Carrey rendered a guest partially nude during an interview with fellow comedian David Letterman on Monday night, when he stole a red sweater off a stranger in order to feel more "festive." The Canadian screen star appeared on US program Late Show With David Letterman to promote new movie Fun With Dick And Jane, but soon began complaining he didn't feel "dressed-up enough." He then left the stage and searched through the audience until he found a man wearing a red festive sweater. After removing the top - leaving the man bare-chested - Carrey returned to the stage and continued with the interview. Meanwhile, Letterman's rival Jay Leno also enjoyed the company of a guest in holiday attire last night; Pamela Anderson appeared on his chat show wearing a skimpy version of a Santa Claus outfit. »

UTA partner Aloni moving to CAA post

2 October 2005 | The Hollywood Reporter - Movie News | See recent The Hollywood Reporter - Movie News news »

UTA partner Dan Aloni has left the agency after 12 years for rival CAA, the two agencies have confirmed. CAA said Aloni, who co-headed UTA's motion picture literary department, will join the agency as an agent. The announcement comes as a coup for CAA because Aloni reps some of the hottest names in comedic directing, including David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers), Tom Shadyac (Bruce Almighty) and Dean Parisot (the upcoming Fun With Dick and Jane). Aloni also boasts such prestige clients as helmers Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins) and Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). Shadyac, Nolan and Gondry will make the trip with Aloni to CAA. »
