Vampire Diaries Paul Wesley Spotted Out With Former ‘One Tree Hill’ Girl

29 December 2010 12:21 PM, PST | OnTheFlix | See recent OnTheFlix news »

Vampire Diaries Paul Wesley spotted out with former 'One Tree Hill' girl. Popsugar has recently obtained a photo of CW Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley out on the town with former "One Tree Hill" actress Torrey DeVitto. According to the site, they are currently dating. You can see the photo here. If you'll recall, Torrey played the crazy babysitter chick on "One Tree Hill" a couple of seasons back. Dan ended up shooting her after she tried to kill him and kidnap little Jamie. It was quite intense. Anyways, Popsugar says that Paul and Torrey went out for a movie date in Los Angeles,California about three nights ago. »

Does Being on a Reality TV Show Hurt or Help Aspiring Actors?

29 December 2010 12:04 PM, PST | backstage.com | See recent Backstage news »

Kendra CastleberryDonna Rosenstein Casting, Los Angeles; 'Castle,' 'Happy Town,' 'October Road'Reality shows have created a new wave of celebrities, but in my opinion these people are not actors. They have not studied their craft or pounded the pavement networking or gone on countless auditions with hopes of booking just one. While being on a reality show can without question give you your five minutes of fame, it will be fleeting. TV networks and movie studios may make you offers to appear in their projects while you're in demand, but as soon as the public finds its next obsession, you will be forgotten. If you are looking to build a career in acting, a reality show will not get you there. Reality stars must continually prove that they can be more than just themselves and really inhabit a role. Actors already know they can do that.Jodi CollinsJodi Collins Casting and Productions, »

TV Ratings: 'NBC Sunday Night Football' Claims Tuesday Victory

29 December 2010 9:19 AM, PST | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

NBC Sunday Night Football didn’t only manage Tuesday victory in both age categories but also racked up the highest ratings on a Tuesday so far this season.

The Minnesota Vikings/Philadelphia Eagles match-up, which has been rescheduled to Tuesday due to a blizzard, averaged 21.54 million viewers and a 7.3 rating/20 share among adults 18-49. But keep in mind: Ratings for sports broadcasts are always approximate.

Second-placed CBS opened the evening with a repeat of NCIS (10.59 million viewers; A18-49: 2.0/6). Next was Kennedy Center Honors at a respectable 9.38 million viewers but a disappointing 1.5/4 in the demo.

Fox placed third in total viewers and adults 18-49 with back-to-back repeats of Glee (4.04 million viewers; A18-49: 1.3/4) while ABC got fourth place airing repeats of Rudolph’s Shiny New Year (3.99 million viewers; A18-49: 1.2/3), No Ordinary Family (3.37 million viewers; A18-49: 0.9/2) and Detroit 1-8-7 (3.46 million viewers; A18-49: 0.8/2).

CW TV Show Rankings for 2010-11 season [week of 12/19/10 update]

27 December 2010 6:50 AM, PST | TVSeriesFinale.com | See recent TVSeriesFinale news »

Which CW TV shows will be cancelled or renewed for the 2011-12 season? The network aired only repeats during the week leading up the Christmas so the series rankings weren't affected at all. Nikita continues to be the CW series most in danger of being cancelled. One Tree Hill, which was almost cancelled last May, is on much better footing right now.

Below is a list of the regular CW TV shows and their 2010-11 season average ratings to date. It only incorporates the ratings for original episodes that have aired this season (no repeats). The data is sorted by the 18-34 female demographic averages, the group that the CW focuses on attracting and selling to advertisers. The "compared to" column reflects whether the demo average has gone up, down, or stayed the same since last week.

TV Ratings: Skating with the Stars Bows Out Disastrously

22 December 2010 9:04 AM, PST | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Skating with the Stars carried the hopes of ABC for the period between the fall and midseason season of Dancing with the Stars. This proposition went obviously wrong. From the beginning, the competition show was skating on thin ice. Although Rebecca Budig and Fred Palascak won the golden skates, there were actually no real winners on this show.

The first and certainly only season finale of Skating with the Stars generated 3.42 million viewers and a 0.8 rating/3 share among adults 18-49. Compared to yesterday, this was an increase of 60 percent in adults 18-49 but deficient in strength to at least reach mediocrity. Repeats of No Ordinary Family (3.14 million viewers; A18-49: 0.8/2) and Detroit 1-8-7 (4.59 million viewers; A18-49: 0.9/3) capped off the evening for ABC.

Tuesday victory in total viewers went to CBS with its repeat combination of NCIS (12.32 million viewers; A18-49: 2.2/7), NCIS: Los Angeles (11.31 million viewers; A »

'One Tree Hill' meets 'The Hangover': Dave Navarro is Brooke's Mike Tyson

21 December 2010 1:54 PM, PST | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Gotta love those mornings where you have no idea why there's raw meat in your purse. (Um, not that we'd know what that's like, Mom.) When "One Tree Hill" returns on January 25th, it's time for Brooke (Sophia Bush) to have her Bachelorette party - and those of us who knew Brooke in high school know that she throws a hell of a party.

The ladies of "One Tree Hill" begin their evening respectably, spa-ready in their bathrobes with a touch of champagne on hand, but by the time the night is over, Brooke's engagement ring is missing... as is her dignity, when she (and her mother-in-law!) bump into Dave Navarro.

Yes, that Dave Navarro. "You were amazing. Where's that other chick that I nailed?" he asks. Don't worry, Brulian fans -- Brooke didn't cheat on Julian. She did, however, have a crazy night.

'Don't ask, don't tell' repealed: Lady Gaga and other celebrities react on Twitter

"Don't ask, don't tell" (Dadt), a 17-year-old bill passed during the Bill Clinton Administration, which many believed represented a severe step back for gay rights and the civil rights movement has been repealed, according to the Washington Post.

"This victory belongs to all who fought to end #Dadt," tweeted President Barack Obama. "Let our allies in Congress know how grateful we are for their help."

Dadt, which forbid gay soldiers in the United States military from serving openly, was struck down in the U.S. Senate on Saturday, Dec. 18. It was a decisive vote of 65 to 31, with eight Republicans crossing the aisle to join 57 Democrats.

"Can't hold back the tears+pride," tweeted Lady Gaga, who had been using her pop star status to campaign for the bill's repeal. "We did it! Our voice was heard + today the Senate Repealed Dadt. A triumph for equality after 17 Years."
