Storyline

This series follows the eventful lives of some high-school kids in Tree Hill, a small but not too quiet town in North Carolina, where the greatest source of pride is the high school basketball team, the Ravens, since living memory coached by old Whitey Durham. Its greatest talent ever was Dan Scott, who now runs a successful car dealership. The present talents are his two sons, Nathan Scott, a beautiful and popular athlete, the absolute star, who was molded and stifled by his proud dad, ambitious Dan Scott, who pushes him harder then even the coach approves of, but rather neglected by his spoiled, impulsive mother Deb, an alcoholic, and Lucas, abandoned at birth with his devoted mother, hard-working café-owner Karen Roe, who grew up with Dan's older but poor brother Keith as substitute father as a social reject, only playing hoops on a public yard in the park with street-kids, his passion being reading; when an incident forces the coach to replace suspended players, Lucas soon proves ... Trivia

Chad Michael Murray was the first actor to be cast in the show, though creator Mark Schwahn originally wanted him to play Nathan, having seen him in bad guy roles before. But Murray himself wanted to play Lucas, because he felt that the character had a back story he could connect more to, since he also experienced being abandoned as a child. See more »

Goofs

In the first episode of season 3, it is established that the lockers are in alphabetical order, explaining why Haley is between Nathan and Lucas. In several episodes following, Brooke's locker is shown to be only one locker away from the Scotts' lockers, which would be near impossible with her last name being Davis. See more »

I'm loving it!
10 May 2006 | by (Belgium) – See all my reviews

Look I think that you can see a certain truth in these stories, they're about life and it's problems. No matter who you are or what you do, you always have issues. No one ever thinks about how real those TV-problems are and how many people have to deal with them daily.. It makes you realise how tough life can be but how beautiful at once. Plus, the acting is great, they pull it off to seem very realistic and I think that the role becomes a part of them.. Basically it's about a couple of guy's trying to get and maintain a girl and who want to be the best in what they do.. On the other side it's known that girls are more sensitive and they really try to accentuate that here. No one knows the world and it's people better then producers directors and scriptwriters because that's where they get there inspiration from, from real-life day-to-day things that everybody knows and understands so good. And finally we have found someone who knows an understands us. And even if this character is fictional it's still based on something real and alive..

I also think that Chad Michael Murray is HOT but yeah that's my opinion.. I also loved him in the "Gilmore Girls" and in "House off Wax..
