Though somewhat crude by today's "Making of" standards . . .

. . . this 10-minute extra on the decades later DVD release nicely supplements the interactive slide presentation on the movie and the Arthurian traditions upon which the movie was based. One nice aspect of this interplay is that there are few contradictions between the two 1967 bonus features on the DVD and the much later interactive information, which updates the story of King Arthur on film through the late 1990s. The shorter extra also is much easier on the eyes than the other one, entitled CAMELOT WORLD PREMIER, which is nearly three times as long and from which most of the color has been washed out and never restored (making it look like the color snapshots you may see in your ancestors' "photo albums," hard-copy thingies that people once spent up to hundreds of hours a year laboring on back in the olden days 30 or 40 years ago, speaking of which, my dad once told me he was shocked--SHOCKED--to see Vanessa Redgraves' bare butt in the actual CAMELOT movie when his 9th grade class was taken to it as part of their trip to Washington, DC!, though both of these contemporary promos for the film contain a bleary version of that supposedly controversial rear end shot, which I would think was nothing to write home about). Besides the credited cast listed on IMDb (as of today), the talking heads on THE STORY OF CAMELOT include producer Jack L. Warner and art director\costume designer John Truscott, who got an Oscar nom at least.
