Cara Delevingne Documentary ‘The Cara Project’ Set for Release

In a pre-American Film Market move, Revolver Entertainment has acquired the documentary “The Cara Project,” which explores how Cara Delevingne’s transition from a model to actress.

Delevingne’s credits include Suicide Squad,” “Paper Towns” and “Pan.” Revolver will be selling “The Cara Project” at Mipcom and Afm to broadcasters and home entertainment publishers and intends to release the film DVD and VOD in the U.S. and Canada within the next few months.

Delevingne broke into acting as one of the leads on 2015’s “Paper Towns” after winning the British Fashion Award for Model of the Year twice. She starred in “Suicide Squad” as June Moore/Enchantress in “Suicide Squad.”

Delevingne has more than 34 million followers on Instagram and will next be seen starring as Laureline in Luc Besson’s “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets,” alongside Ethan Hawke and Clive Owen.

Director James Watkins chats about Bastille Day, working with Idris Elba and the difficulties of shooting smaller-budget action...

James Watkins burst onto the filmmaking scene in 2008, with his Michael Fassbender-starring thriller Eden Lake. He followed this with more scariness in 2012, helming the big screen version of The Woman In Black with Daniel Radcliffe at its heart.

His latest movie is Bastille Day,a pacey action flick that casts Idris Elba as a CIA agent and Richard Madden as a morally murky pickpocket who winds up at the centre of a terrorist attack in Paris. The two are thrust together on a quest to stop the next strike, with plenty of barbed banter and thrilling chases cropping up as they attempt to do so.

Metrodome moves on 'Hard Tide'

Exclusive: Crime drama premiered at Raindance in 2015.

UK distribution outfit Metrodome has picked up Hard Tide (previously titled My Hero) for a theatrical release in April.

The crime drama, which premiered at the 2015 Raindance Film Festival, is from directing and writing duo Robert Osman and Nathanael Wiseman.

Wiseman also stars alongside Mem Ferda (Revolver), Oliver Stark (Into The Badlands) and first time actress Alexandra Newick in the story of a small time criminal who forms an unlikely friendship with a neglected young girl when the pair are forced to go on the run.

UK rapper Mic Righteous produced original music for the film alongside composer Si Begg.

Hard Tide marks the debut feature of London/Oslo-based production outfit Redeeming Features, which was launched last year by Katarina Gellin, Gary Thomson and Wiseman.

Aldamisa Entertainment handles the film’s worldwide sales rights. »
