Not one of the most dynamic episodes.

Colin's life spirals out of control, first of all his wife Sarah wants out of their marriage, then his writing career suffers blow after blow, Colin seeks comfort, but that comes at a price.

I've been working my way through the Screen 2 series, and this has been the least enjoyable one so far, there's nothing unique, distinctive or cutting edge here, it's all pretty humdrum and domestic, it verges on melodrama. At times it feels like a French farce, only the humour is removed.

Who would want to leave Paul McGann!!!!

The one thing that really does date it, is the music, it is so heavy and loud, it does detract somewhat.

It does have a terrific cast, Paul McGann is one of those actors that I could watch in anything, and his performance does make it fairly watchable. Adrian Dunbar, Alfred Molina and the rest of the cast are very good. Phoebe Nicholls, always so good, plays the stoic wife very well.

6/10.
