This show was originally being developed for NBC who beat Fox in a major bidding war. But NBC pushed the show back to midseason. That gave the producers the right to take the show to another network according to a clause in their contract. The producers took the show back to Fox who promised a Fall debut. But Fox ended up canceling the show weeks before it was to air.
