Why Person Of Interest is well worth your time

25 June 2015 6:56 AM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

After a shaky start, Person Of Interest has grown into one of the smartest, most compelling shows on TV. Here's why...

Funny things, spoilers. The very word carries a qualitative judgment – this is something that will spoil your enjoyment of the piece of art in question. And they’re ubiquitous; viewing habits are becoming ever more fractured, with some people still watching weekly live like it’s black and white times or something, some watching a season or so behind because of the Us-uk lag, some binge-watching on Netflix, some downloading scripts and directing their own versions in their mind palaces, and so on, making spoilers ever more difficult to avoid as a result. But while spoiler culture is thriving, with many forums and articles dedicated to the discussion thereof, there also seems to be a general consensus – insofar as there can be anything resembling a consensus on the Internet »

TVLine hits rewind on the TV season’s biggest “What Happens Next” finales, then invites you to predict the cliffhanger outcomes

Rule No. 45 tells us, “Clean up the mess that you make” — and CBS’ NCIS will have to do just that when Season 13 arrives, seeing as Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon) was last seen getting shot, twice, by young Luke Harris.

Why Television is Hitting the Road for Festivals

17 June 2015 10:00 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

The television business is on the move, as smallscreen festivals become an increasingly important part of the way networks and studios do business. Helping to break through the avalanche of content to bring shows and talent to fans and build social-media buzz, the TV fest circuit amounts to a nonstop promo tour that spans the globe.

Hard on the heels of the fourth annual Atx Television Festival, which wrapped June 7 in Austin, some industryites took off for the Monte Carlo TV Festival, which runs through June 18, while others will hit the first-ever Seriesfest June 18-21 in Denver. Then they’ll gear up to head to San Diego for the increasingly TV-centric Comic-Con from July 9-12.

Alexandra Shapiro, exec VP of marketing and digital for USA Network, says festivals help to distinguish a show early by providing the kind of momentum that normally would require much more marketing money. “In a »

Love Island 2005: What happened to winner Jayne Middlemiss? Or love god Lee Sharpe? We find out!

10 June 2015 11:45 AM, PDT | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - TV news news »

Remember the first ever Love Island with its seemingly clueless single celebrities constantly bickering on a tumultuous and stormy (literally and metaphorically) Fijian island?

Even the show's co-hosts Kelly Brook and Patrick Kielty were baying for one another's blood when Kielty decided to declare during one live show that Brook had previously dated contestant Paul Danan.

Other memorable highlights included Abi Titmuss becoming more and more enraged as Fran Cosgrave repeatedly referred to her as Vanessa Feltz, swiftly followed by a tipsy and uncouth Rebecca Loos letting rip.

The series aired almost exactly a decade ago, so we found ourselves wondering - whatever happened to eventual winner Jayne Middlemiss? And the Love Island love god that was Lee Sharpe?

As the new non-celebrity series currently enjoys its ITV2 revival, we find out what the 12 star contestants have gone on to do since their 2005 stint below:

From Star Trek: Generations through to Star Trek: Nemesis - here are 47 nerdy spots in the Next Generation films...

Since Star Trek: The Motion Picture in 1979, the Star Trek cinematic outings have proved to be a smorgasbord of references and famous actors (or those who would go on to be), and often had complex behind the scenes events that stopped some rather, ahem, fascinating moments making it to the final version. We found lots of nerdy spots in the first six films here.

This time out we look at the films featuring the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation and choose 47 factoids. Granted, there's a lot more than that of interest, but we've tried for ones that you might not be aware of.

Oh, and there are some major spoilers...
