Heed the Calling
4 November 2003 | by (Swainsboro, Georgia) – See all my reviews

If you're expecting "Buffy," run now. "Tru Calling" has drama and action, but on a more human level. Eliza Dushku, who plays Tru Davies, is a young woman who sets out to save lives. Not just those of her on-the-edge siblings, but also those of the recently dead!

Mysterious cries for help, a twelve hour rewind on the world, and Tru must fix things before it's too late. Again. As she races to solve the mysteries surrounding the lives of endangered strangers, she must also try to keep her family and friends from making terrible mistakes. Every moment is another chance to help or hurt, and Tru knows it.

"Tru Calling" is a rare find among TV shows. It stresses the power of the individual to affect change, the bond of familial love, and a sense of loyalty to strangers in need. Ms. Dushku is an amazing actress, beautiful, and definitely one to watch.

Give "Tru Calling" a chance to sweep you up in its web of mystery and hope. You'll be glad you did.
