Production on the film actually dates back to 2001 when William Butler wrote a script for the film. Much of Butler's original script ended up re-written and even the original design was changed. There was even an action figure based on the original design and a teaser trailer that was made during pre-production, with a summer 2001 date attached as well. See more
The Gingerdead Man runs down Jimmy Dean with his own early 70s Chevy Camaro. However, the interior shot shows Gingerdead Man at the wheel of a 60s Ford Mustang. This is easily identifiable by the dash, instrument panel and steering wheel. See more
