This show was an excellent introduction into the world's great poems. Television stars (I distinctly remember British actress Penelope Keith) reciting bits & pieces & sometimes in their entirety some of the best poems ever written. Viewers got exposed to all different time periods and styles of poetry. Sonnets, haikus, iambic-pantameter, meter, the whole world of poetry is made available to the viewer with readings by professional actors who help bring the poetry to life.
