With the real Emmys coming next week, we fill out our ballot with less-likely, but definitely worthy nominees.
Emmy nominations are announced next Thursday and the usual suspects are all expected to pop up. Do not be surprised when Mr. Robot, Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Orange is the New Black, and Better Call Saul dominate all the categories, rightfully so. They all are coming off of incredible and explosive seasons. They deserve the praise. But, what about all the other amazing shows on television? They absolutely deserve some love too, but stand almost no chance at being nominated. Our response here at Film School Rejects? The Alternate Emmys. Readers, meet the other shows you should be watching.

The Timber, 2015.
Directed by Anthony O’Brien.
In the wild west, two brothers embark on a journey to collect a bounty: alive or dead, but what they find along the way is more than they bargained for.
The Western genre has given cinema some epic, sprawling and beautifully short films. Whether it’s The Magnificent Seven, or one of Sergio Leone’s classic Westerns, it’s a genre that captures the desolate beauty of the old American West (or at least when it’s done right). When you think of the best Westerns you conjure images of Panavision lensed vistas and grizzled, rugged cowboys on galloping horses. The 50’s and 60’s remain the golden era, and seemingly in more recent years, films about the old west have become a little rarer. There have been decent »

Well that was not what we were expecting. Drake and Josh reunited on Grandfathered tonight, and it was sort of upsetting to watch Drake act like such a straight up douchebag while all Gerald wanted to do was pitch him an app. There were, however, some glorious references to be had as Drake Bell and Josh Peck reconnected. "You know, you remind me of my stepbrother," Drake (whose name wasn't Drake, but whatever) said. "Oh, is he awesome?" Gerald asked. "No, no. He's in jail for stalking Oprah," Drake revealed, which sounds about right. While at first, Drake (Kirk?) seemed to have no interest in Gerald and »
If you were a fan of the Nickelodeon show Drake & Josh and wished that Drake Bell and Josh Peck could reunite, then be sure to tune in to tonight’s episode of Grandfathered. The all-new installment, titled “The Biter,” will have the former co-stars sharing the screen again as Bell guest stars as Kirk, a flashy tech investor that meets with Gerald and Vanessa. However, while the characters of Drake and Josh always got along with each other pretty well on the Nickelodeon series, that may not be the case for Kirk and Gerald. As show in the sneak peek below, Kirk appears

It’s 2004 all over again on Tuesday’s Grandfathered (Fox, 8:30/7:30c) when Josh Peck‘s former "Drake & Josh" co-star Drake Bell pops by for a long-overdue reunion — and you’ll need a separate basket for all the Easter eggs they’re dropping.
“At the end of each scene, they would go, ‘Hey, are there any "Drake & Josh" inside jokes to put in here?'” Bell tells TVLine. “I don’t know what they’ll choose to air, but we definitely shot tons of inside jokes. … I hope there’s somewhere online where you can see all of the clips we shot, »
Drake and Josh, together again. The brothers from other mothers are reuniting for next week's episode of Grandfathered, and Josh Peck tweeted a pic with Drake Bell from the long-awaited reunion of Drake & Josh. Our two favorite mischievous step brothers look better than ever, especially standing side by side nine years after the end of their Nickelodeon series. (It's been nine years?!) Picture aside, even just the reference-filled tweet is enough to make our teenage selves a little weepy with nostalgia. We got a "Hug me, brotha" and shout-outs to both Megan And Crazy Steve? This is too much. Drake and Josh ran on Nickelodeon from 2004 to »
