'The Bling Ring': 16 Crazy But True Facts About the Story

17 June 2013 10:49 AM, PDT | NextMovie | See recent NextMovie news »

By this point, everybody and their former lingerie model mother knows that Sofia Coppola's "The Bling Ring" is based on a true story. What they may not know, however, is that the truer true story, told in journalist Nancy Jo Sales' reportorial book "The Bling Ring" (expanded from her original Vanity Fair article "The Suspects Wore Louboutins") is even wilder than the drug-fueled, celebrity-obsessed months depicted in Coppola's film.

You know how they say you can't make this s**t up? Yeah, that. Like alleged Bling Ring leading lady Rachel Lee leaving a stinky something in Rachel Bilson's house, or the self-obsessed monologues alleged accomplice-turned-reality TV star Alexis Neiers (oh yeah: She got a reality TV show, not that you'll see that hubbub on the big screen) delivered: All real.

Ahead, 16 crazy but realer-than-botox things you may not have known about the real story behind "The Bling Ring. »

Greatest TV Pilots: The O.C.

The Oc, Episode 1,  Season One: “Pilot”

Directed by Doug Liman

Written by Josh Schwartz

Originally aired Au

It’s 2003 and the first week of August. In one month, it’s back-to-school time. But before that, newbie showrunner Josh Schwartz is coming to get you. He’s coming to claim your soul – to sink his hooks into you and drag you into the deepest recesses of his soapy teen drama. Little do you know how much this 90210 knock-off will surprise you with its stubbornness, subversiveness, intelligence and, most of all, heart. Welcome to the dark side. Or, if you prefer…*punches reader in the face*…welcome to The O.C., bitch.

The O.C. had no right to be as good as it was. Most of these characters appear to be walking, talking cliches: the nerdy kid who gets picked on, the silent brooder from out of town who shows him life outside »

Greatest TV Pilots: ‘Chuck’

Chuck, Pilot: “Chuck Versus the Intersect”

Written by Josh Schwartz, and Chris Fedak

Directed by McG

Originally aired, September 24th 2007

Pilots are always a tricky business. Some make a spectacle of themselves with an extended runtime or are churned by adverts months in advances; some have the unenviable task of juggling world building, establishing character relations, and stringing out multiple storyline threads for the entirety of the series. Television pilots require a unique blend of instant gratification as well as playing the long game. A pilot has to establish many things, but above all, it must create the foundations for characters that audiences will fall for and become totally invested in. People tune in ritualistically for these characters week in and week out. Viewers form familial bonds and sometimes a sense of entitlement towards television characters which can result in a rabid fan base. A great pilot has to create »

Bitch Stole My Lbd: Jennifer Aniston vs. Rachel Bilson in Christian Dior

10 June 2013 1:06 PM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

When Rachel Bilson first wore this Christian Dior look, we thought it was quite the magic trick. Oh la la! Rachel pulled a bunch of colorful scarves out of a boring Lbd! It's also the clothing version of a side mullet. Look at the same outfit on Jennifer Aniston: Business in the front and back, party on the side. The Friends star does add a touch more sex appeal, with a shorter length and strappy black sandals. Unfortunately those choices make Jen looks ready to go clubbing, while our favorite The O.C. actress remains squarely in cocktail attire territory. Which is why we're giving this one to Rachel and her classier take on the ensemble. But who do you think wins this Bitch Stole My Look »

It's been ten years Monday since Fountains of Wayne released their third album, "Welcome Interstate Managers," memorable mostly for that hit single and the video featuring a partially dressed Rachel Hunter as the mom — and a boy who takes a private moment in the bathroom, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" style, to appreciate her.

Adding Another Show to Our 2013-14 Calendar – ABC’s Resurrection

29 May 2013 1:00 PM, PDT | ScifiMafia | See recent ScifiMafia news »

When ABC gave its “Upfront” presentation and announced its 2013-14 schedule two weeks ago, I told you about the return of Once Upon a Time and The Neighbors, and about upcoming series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

At the time I didn’t include new series Resurrection because, frankly, the trailer seemed a little too Touched By an Angel to be something we’d cover. Now that I’ve screened the pilot, I may have been premature. May have been. As with Touch and Awake and A Gifted Man before it, I’ve decided to give this one the benefit of the doubt. I’m hoping it will be more like Awake than like the other two; we’ll see. I really like the pilot, though, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Here’s the synopsis and the trailer. »

At ABC‘s upfront, there were a few things that the network wanted to make sure you knew. 1) They are really impressed with the idea that people are going to watch Rebel Wilson do just about anything, and 2) There isn’t anything they’re happier about than bringing you more episodes of television created by Shonda Rhimes.

On these notes, the network would love for you to know that more Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal are coming your way. These, ABC would like to impress upon you (as advertisers) are really good shows. Does Lindsay Lohan Have Bad Juju?

Lindsay Lohan wasn't always in and out of rehab. The former child star turned troubled actress was beloved in the late 1990s and early 2000s, starring in feel-good films like "The Parent Trap," "Life-Size," "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls."

But lately -- between DUIs, drug problems and run-ins with the law -- LiLo's path has taken her in the wrong direction and she's two weeks into her 90-day lockdown treatment program.

Still, we can't help but notice all the other young stars who've struggled in the past -- or more so we can't help but notice that they All hung out and/or posed for photos with Lohan once in their life. (According to our celebrity rehab formula, taking pictures with LiLo can lead to trouble).

So does Lindsay Lohan have bad juju? We can only speculate.
