Not a complete documentary

Due to the governmental censorship.

This documentary is best described as a documentary about Mr. Lan-Fang Mei's artistic achievement, but certainly not the biography of Mr. Lan-Fang Mei.

The reason is extremely simple: the Chinese governmental censorship would never allow the political persecution Mr. Lan-Fang Mei suffered in the political movements to be shown because it would create a negative image on the commie regime. This is one price to pay in order to keep the traditional cultural heritage.
