The scene in which the president walks Sally to her door after their date, was composed of 2 different cameras, one focused on 'Maura Tierny' and the other focused on Gene Hackman, shot 2 months apart. They had to stop shooting cause of weather, but you can see in the shots in that scene focused on Maura it's raining and on Gene, it's not.

The lines "I don't have cable" when Handy tells his right hand man to stop looking at the two dogs having sex, or "mmmhmm.....yes, i said mmhmmm" uttered by Irma after Handy is brought down to Earth after just having challenged the president to the mayoral race, are a couple of the many ad-libs in the movie added by 'Ray Romano' to his own character and others in the script.
