Did You Know?

Trivia:
Don Swan (Mark Hamill) interviews Kevin Smith in the movie and asks him about Smith's fictional first draft of the 'Commander Courage' movie. Smith mentions the movie's producers constantly hounding him over adding a giant spider to the 'Courage' script for no reason, among other problems. The scene is directly referencing Smith's famous real-life hassles attempting to draft a 'Superman' script for Warner Bros.See more »
Quotes:
Taylor Donohue:This is, also, Leo Matusik.
Anita Levine:You're the reason I came down here. Little dwarf boy, little strange man, do you even know who your great-grandfather was? Do you even know what you're doing here?
Leo Matuzik:[confused] Yeah.
Anita Levine:Do you know your name?
Leo Matuzik:Sure.
Anita Levine:Okay, what day is it?
[pushes him aside]
Anita Levine:Get outta here.

5 out of 6 people found the following review useful.
At least they respect the fans, 18 March 2004
Author: Manda

The movie was rather odd, but it did have its moments. It works better if one really knows comics, vintage collectibles, the movie industry, and the actors involved (especially the ones known for voiceovers for popular shows). For those heavily into science fiction and comics, it was fun to pick out the people making cameos, including the "Men Behind the Mask." Mark Hamill's approach showed respect and reverence for the fan base, as well as poking a healthy dose of fun at the movie industry. The DVD has a lot of extra information including some of the panels these talented actors chaired. The movie was made for the fans, but unlike some movies of this ilk, they showed respect instead of making it a geeks on parade feature.
