Frequent strong sexual content, including graphic sexual references.

Sex scenes are rampant in this series that often features a variety of sexual situations. Situations have featured casual sexual relationships, sex with multiple partners, prostitution, and even aberrant sexual situations such as incest, necrophilia, bestiality, and pedophilia.

Rape is a major theme during Season 3 and 4 due to a serial rapist/killer character called The Carver.

Surgeries revolving around sexual organs are frequent such as breast implants and penis enlargements, as well as genital reconstructive surgeries.

Sexual fetishes often become subject matter explored in the series, such as group sex. In later seasons autoerotic asphyxiation is depicted due to a main character trying it out after hearing of it from a patient.

Nudity in the series is limited to bare buttocks and brief glimpses of bare breasts.

Surgical nudity is depicted.

Nip/Tuck notoriously showed all of the surgeries in extremely realistic, graphic detail.

Violence in the program, outside of surgical procedures, is also quite graphic and featured things as trivial as a scuffle to things as extreme as self-inflicted injuries, murder, rape, torture, dismemberment, necrophilia, and even castration in one episode.

Although the F Word was never heard, crass sexual references to sexual activity (i.e.: "cum", "cock", "pussy", and "dick") were often heard.

The most frequent profanities in the series were "goddamn", "shit", and "asshole".

Insults toward people such as "faggot" and "cocksucker" were heard on occasion.

Frequent alcohol consumption, some smoking.

One storyline featured a main character becoming a heroin junkie.

The series is very emotionally intense and features thematic adult subject matter.

Some of the killers, called The Carver, can be frightening to some people.

It is not intended for anyone under the age of 18.
