as entertaining as the old lazer-tag commercial

as a 7-year-old i remember watching the few episodes of this cartoon before it went off the air. i liked the old commercial for the lazer-tag gun, although it worked only slightly better than 'rob the robot.' the show was ok, but the jamie character made made an impression on me. she was sort of hot, and had an interesting name for a girl...unfortunately she and the show were gone soon after they appeared. what a tease.

I actually liked this show!

Every Saturday morning in 1986-87, this was one of the many shows I actually got up early and watched, because it was just so entertaining. I loved Laser Tag in the first place, and the fact that it was being made into an actual cartoon series, with excellent animation and a story that I found to be awesome, I knew it was worth my time. It's just too bad the show didn't last. I would've loved to see it continue into a second season, even a third. But hey, it was the 80's! Us kids back then were lucky if a show lasted 6 months.

Maybe one day this will see a proper DVD release and get the cult staus it deserves.

An Honest Review

Lazer Tag or as the British say "Laser Tag" was an epic of awesomeness for kids in the '80s...especially played in the dark where all you could really see were the redlights of the star-sensors and ran the risk of colliding with the furniture, the walls, and the support beams in mom and dad's basement.

And then you had that little red light in the sights that did absolutely nothing.

But that was the toy and not the cartoon.

The cartoon was just as cool. Oh you so wanted to grow up and be a gladiator in that laser tag arena didn't you? And that house, for ever onward to this day a raised ranch is a laser tag academy house isn't it? Really, what it is is an awesome cartoon about time travel and lazer guns all in the hands of children led by a child that was a gladiator from the future and related to the family from distant generations that the family takes in without really questioning any of it and....

if you were a kid in the '80s you were more concerned about how fun and cool the whole thing was than you were about trying to examine it.
