Trivia

Jack Black has claimed that he did not wear any make-up at all in the entire movie after hearing a false rumor that Clint Eastwood never wears any make-up in his movies. He also wore a hairpiece during filming rather than going through makeup to achieve the '30s hairdo' look. See more »

Goofs

Lumpy says 4 men died in the stampede. Actually, at least 5 people died in the stampede; six if you count a deleted scene. Either way, the sixth man is present before the stampede but not when they regroup afterwards, and so can be inferred to have died. See more »

Crazy Credits

The end credits are set against an art deco backdrop rather than the traditional black screen. The backdrop is an exact replica, in Technicolor, of the same backdrop that was used for the opening credits in the 1933 version of "King Kong". See more »

Lived up to and beyond my expectations
15 December 2005 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

I walked into this movie with high expectations. O knew from the trailers that it was going to be amazing. I was wrong--- it was absolutely astounding.

I can't believe that CG in this movie, you can't usually make out the difference from the real and the virtual.

It is a great story, Jackson and his crew obviously put a lot of time into the story. I didn't even realize the movie was 3 hours long- I didn't look at my watch once.

All of the actors are great in this movie, a very good cast. It is definitely worth paying the money to see it on the big screen. It is the best movie I have ever seen.
