Esquimaux Game of Snap-the-Whip (1901)

This Edison short, shot at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, NY, features a couple kids playing with a whip and showing off to a couple people watching them. This thing runs a very brief 21-seconds so don't expect any type of story. Often times these things were just filmed on the fly, which apparently happened here because at one point another man walks in front of the camera not knowing that they were filming this. That brief clip alone makes this film worth viewing. The two kids are quite impressive with their skills as well. Again, there's nothing ground breaking here but it's fun for fans of early cinema.
