Mandy Moore picked out her own butt-double for the skinny-dip scene.
When trying to be incognito, Mandy Moore's character insists she has only one name, "Anna - like Pink." Pink is the stage name of singer Alecia Moore, whom many people mistakenly believe to be Mandy's cousin.

The final scene features an opera house rehearsal of Giacomo Puccini's "Nessun Dorma" from Turandot. The complete opera is not being performed because the ending of the piece uses the concert ending.
