Has someone been getting into my head? I've had this idea about the remake for a decade or more. This has been a favorite of mine for years. Surprised no-one has done it. Used to think Eddy Murphy could be fun...but realized the one person who can do this in 2010 is Justin Timberlake. He's funny, can sing AND dance....an updated version of the original would be hilarious. I was amazed that someone has decided to do it....thrilled that it is the brilliant Mike Meyers....but hey mike.....give Justin a chance!!!??? I've wanted this movie to be re-made, but needs a great performer who can dance sing and act funny. THe original one with Danny Kaye is brilliant. Can't wait for it to be seen. The crazy thing about this movie, is that i've been wishing it would be re-made by someone. First i thought maybe Jim Carrey would be fun, but then he got kinda old.....sorry Jim..... then I thought maybe Eddy Murphy needs it to boost his career...... but after seeing Justin T and his amazing sense of timing and comedy, singing voice, and of course his dancing.... what a great choice. Like I said it would be an updated version, with disco dances and concerts....etc. I'm sure Mike will do it justice!!! Not too over the top. The movie is a classic as it is.
