This is awful movie-making. The story is a rehash of previous fluff clichéd to death. The direction is amateurish. The scene where Celia Rodriguez enacts her glorious days as a famous movie star to starstruck Alma Moreno is so theatrical with the compulsory stage laughter that it makes you cringe, "Why do they hire amateurish director to direct an accomplished Celia Rodriguez?"
The scene where she dies while watching her old friends perform onstage as she recovers from a debilitating heart attack is so contrived it makes the emotions of the scene so patently cheap. The only redeeming element of this movie is that it stars the very beautiful and very young Alma Moreno in her first starring role. Just looking at her on screen is so refreshing you are ready to forget the crappy directing and writing of the movie.
Trash!
