There are two spots high above water along the left and right walls of Origin Beach where there were once glyphs (Or some creature) that was removed from the game. However if you use your sonar against those walls you still get messages from them. The left one says: "We hear song in the ocean!" "We hear our kind in the sea!" "Never have we heard songs in the sea!" The right one says: "You sing our song under the waves - who are you?" "Could we sing in the sea? Could we live in the sea?" "Perhaps we will try!" Ed Annunziata explained that this was the answer to the question Ecco was asked in Home Bay "Why do Dolphins live in the sea?" Ecco was supposed to be talking to his prehistoric ancestors and convincing them to join him in the deep. Unfortunately they were removed to time constraints.

Ecco the Dolphin is one of the most exciting video games! The animals, the action, the spiritualness, and the sure thrill of excitement makes this game a fun non-stop playing time! Below is a brief look how I think the game is!
Game Play: The game play is very good. There is really basic controls here and is easy to perform. Novice gamers should have a good time here!
Graphics: The graphics are wonderful especially for the Sega Genesis! The backgrounds are really beautiful!
Difficulty: The game is easy but as it goes on you find out that it will become more difficult!
Music: The music is great! Just fantastic catchy tunes through out the game! In My opinion its some of the best music ever in a video game!
Sound: The sound is great. Nuff said!
Overall: I have always loved Ecco the Dolphin! If you like animal and adventure games then I strongly recommend you play this game!
