Biel Dating Baseball Star?

17 November 2006 | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Blade: Trinity actress Jessica Biel is reportedly dating baseball star Derek Jeter after the pair were spotted in a Los Angeles club. The 24-year-old beauty spent the evening with Jeter at Hyde, a favorite haunt of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, and they were seen leaving together, according to the New York Post. Halfway through the night, Biel visited the restroom and a gaggle of girls approached the New York Yankees shortstop, but he immediately dismissed them, suggesting he only has eyes for Biel. Jeter is no stranger to famous females - he has previously been romantically linked to Mariah Carey, Scarlett Johansson and MTV presenter Vanessa Minnillo. »

No More 'Blade' for Biel

21 August 2006 | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Jessica Biel has reluctantly hung up her vampire hunting costume after learning plans for a spin-off to Blade: Trinity have fallen through. The actress teamed up with Wesley Snipes and Ryan Reynolds in the third Blade movie last year but insists she won't be coming back for more. She tells website JoBlo.com that the proposed Blade: Trinity spin-off movie, Night Stalkers, which she was slated to star in with Reynolds, won't be happening anytime soon. She says, "I think that's over with. Nothing ever came really with the Night Stalkers. I actually thought that, maybe we would do an adaptation of that, but I just don't think that Blade: Trinity did so well. It just didn't do as well as everyone would have hoped, so no one was interested in rethinking those characters. But I'm open to it; I'm open to other comic book adaptations or big action. I mean, I like action movies, I like doing action movies, I think they're fun." »

UTA, jilted by Wesley Snipes in February, is suing the actor for back commissions on Blade: Trinity and other films. In a suit filed Monday in California Superior Court in Los Angeles, attorneys for UTA say Snipes has been paid at least $13 million for his work on the action sequel and paid commissions to UTA totaling about $717,000. But UTA claims that Snipes still owes Blade: Trinity commissions totaling about $584,000, and it also seeks additional commissions totaling more than $2 million related to its 10% representation fee on the movies Chaos, Middle Man and The Shooter. »
