The footage is from the first film, Blade (1998), in which Whistler is telling his life story to Dr. Jenson.

The third installment of the Blade-series was rated R by the MPAA for its theatrical release. Later, there was also an unrated extended version available on DVD and Blu-ray. This extended cut runs more than 9 minutes longer and adds more story and slightly more action to the theatrical cut. A detailed comparison between both versions can be found here.

As Abigail stated in the movie, she was born after the death of Whistler's whole family, she was raised in an orphanage and tracked Whistler down when she got a little older and became a vampire hunter.
